I was a medical assistant for 5 years (went to Bryman college immediately Everest college in southern California) and I own to say fruitless career move for me. Ok, im in NY, so i dont know if that make a differnence butI have studied for this License exam for almost 2 years. I own taken it 4 times and have messed up each time by a few points. Its insanely concrete. No matter how much i study, the question on this test are bogus-
I already enjoy my masters, but its almost like you cant even find a job contained by social work without this license-its similar to your masters degree dosnt even count! its ridiculous!
I am working as a social worker surrounded by a nursing home right now. Luckily-and i did return with lucky, the job lone required a bachelors degree, but im timorous and want this license incase in the adjectives they change some things or if i inevitability to get a commission elsewhere. Im 26 by the way.
im not sure if here is anyone else out there thats surrounded by the same position as me. But it is a national exam. Other states singular require a 70 to pass, but NY you own to get a 75. I hold on to getting a 70 or 72 score. UGH!
Answers: The try-out is bogus and does not measure social work familiarity and how well you will do as a social worker (in certainty some of the answers are exactly opposite of what a upright social worker would do). You have to remember the exam is a "clinical" exam and reflect a psychdynamic perspective on practice (though no one will acknowledge this). So within order to miss you MUST answer the questions contained by the way they want you to answer. I would strongly buoy you to take a prep course and to use as frequent of the practice tests as possible. You really stipulation to understand how they are thinking. Also if you can staple down in what areas you are missing most of your question, I would focus in this nouns.

I have my social work licesense. I be told when studing to be conservative with your answers the luggage studies are not real life span don't do what you would normally do. My state solely requires a 70 but i got a 75 you can do it. I took a week past its sell-by date of work and did nothing but study Erickson, PIaget and behavioral notion. I went over definition and get the Social work dictionary
