Sick Note Rules?
Right well the entity is ive been on the sick next to a broken thumb since december, i work for the council in the community & cultural services (bin man / street cleansing) Due to the temperament fo my job,i cant do it next to a broken thumb and was given a sick data.Im getting the cast bad next monday so should be rear at work next tuesday...
The means of access the council operates, is they pretty much single take individuals on via agencys, from what ive read, i seem to work out it as any employer cannot justifily get rid of some on when they hold a valid doctors sick note (i read this on a goverment website)

Answers: I do think that's the imperative. If you experience anything other than getting to your livelihood on Tuesday and continuing with business as usual, I would hope legal counsel (sometimes you can find a free consultation depending on your average income). If they can prove they were getting rid of the position anyway, and they don't hire someone trial, I don't think you really enjoy a case, but if they basically get rid of you despite your valid doctor's make a note of, I think there's some wrongdoing within.
I was out sick for three weeks two years ago (had surgery). I be reassured countless times that I would not be tolerate go, that they couldn't do that. It be a county job, so conceivably it's similar where you are. I wouldn't whip any action until you see what happen when you go put money on. Good luck!

During college, I have an employer who would fire people if they call in twice during the first month. The truth is, employer want someone who is dependable and not calling in every Saturday create their tired or have a hangover or are of late lazy surrounded by general. These types to not contribute to a business that depends on its workers.
I found after give or take a few a year or so of being prompt and not calling in, the bosses respected me, did not request for information me if I called surrounded by sick, gave me anything schedule I asked for, and bent over backwards if I needed anything.
I don't doubt your thumb is keeping you from working and I applaud your outcome for not lying. But one day, you gotta rouse up and realize that the world is not so black and white, and sometimes you have to do things you otherwise disagree near in instruct to survive. For example, cops risk being shot and possibly have to live with shooting someone everyday for going on for 40,000 dollars b4 taxes. Cops have committed what some would beckon murder for their wages, b/c they were put into a position contained by which they had to. However, the legal situation is that as a temporary/contract worker, you can surrounded by fact be permit go for no source whatsoever. It *should* apply to everyone, but since as a temp they can get rid of you whenever they touch like it, it doesn't apply.

Don't do it. Unless u have no confidence surrounded by yourself. If u try really hard you can find a better chore. But i understand it's easier said consequently done. Your best bet to make money is a contractor that does some sort of construction.

I am not comfortable with lying to anyone. Being forced to do so is similar to going against my religion. So I ended up departing my job due to this. Is it allowed to demand you fiction? Depends on what you're lying about--in many cases, no it would not be allowed. (Say you were a loan officer and lied in the order of material facts of the loan--that's a huge no-no. Say you work at a coup¨¦ dealership and you're told to tout the cars--the best, so mileage efficient, never have a complaint, blah blah--that's basically puffery and you're not going to be capable of say that's not portion of the typical sales job).
Maybe try a temp agency--some income, so exposure to job, may land something full-time.

I know you can't draw severance if you quit your job. You enjoy to be fired or laid off. I know because I'm currently drawing it myself while seeking employment.
However, I guess the "legality" of it would depend on exactly what they be having you to enunciate. You haven't provided a lot of details surrounded by that regard.
