Perks of mortal a RN-BSN vs. RN?
Are there different job a RN-BSN can get that a RN can't? Otherwise I don't really read between the lines why anyone would go to a 4 year arts school to get their BSN when they could shift to 2 year school and earn a ADN. Can someone explain, please?Answers: There are lots reasons for the different degree. But the main advantages of the BSN are surrounded by job opportunity. From an income standpoint, most health precision facilities within the US will pay a differential for the BSN. However this in general only amounts to give or take a few $2,000 to $3,000 per year. As has be mentioned in some ares you will find that the employment listings will have BSN preferred for almost adjectives listings. This automatically gives you a hiring nouns, and may get you a position you want instead of merely the job to be precise available. Additionally, there are copious positions which are being posted as BSN or difficult required. Some areas of nursing require the additional information provided by the BSN programs. Others enjoy found that the BSN graduates hold better critical thinking skills (as a general statement) so the hospital or complete robustness care organization require a BSN or higher for any supervisory or direction position. If you thought you might want to branch out of nursing into another area such as pharmaceutical sale, they all require a bachelor level.
Many nurses eventually want to move into advanced practice, or specialization in nursing through graduate college. In order to attend a master of nursing program, you must enjoy completed a bachelor of nursing program.
There are many other reason why a BSN is the preferred degree by the American Nurses Association and the National Leaguie for Nurses, but if I bring back in to those it will single bring out a significant number of thumbs down and arguments.
Suffice it to say, both ADNs and BSNs graduate as competent entry-level nurses eligible for the NCLEX-RN. The advantages for the BSN come when you want to move out of that first position you carry after graduation.
Some hospitals will pay you more if you hold your BSN, but others won't; it just depends on the hospital. The biggest profit, pay increase aside, will come if you looked-for to interview for a position that required a greater degree of management: charge nurse, asst. manager, etc.
I don't know in the region of the country as a whole, but when I be looking for jobs after nursing institution (I got my BSN) I notice a few hospitals saying things similar to, "BSN preferred" at the bottom of their listings. Certaintly because of the nursing shortage, I don't think it be much of an issue, but having your BSN would be a pious thing to hold in your hindmost pocket should the job marketplace for nurses ever change.

Depends - are you certified, degreed - bachelors or masters - how much experience?
Where in Kansas - Kansas is huge and the cost of living vary greatly. There are lots of engineers in Kansas.
I reckon that is a low stipend if you are experienced and degreed.
Thats a good remuneration for pretty mucn 95 percent of the U.S. with the exception of california and New york. I live contained by dallas tx, and would love to get remunerated that much. I barely be paid 40k a year. 60k for me a year would give me a nice "comfortable" natural life. I would not be living in a luxurious lifestyle but That amount of money would be plenty to live comfortably
