What is it similar to to get going LPN-RN clinicals?
Like, what times you begin and termination, the amount of work to learn, what is it resembling as a nursing student? what motivates you to finish, the best/ worst etc parts of being a student contained by that field?Im asking bc I'm scared out of your wits yet excited to carry into the field..within the fall. But I don't know if I'll ever grow to love it. Care to share? Thanks!
Answers: I consider nursing is either you love it or abhor it, and you need to love it or you won't be a great nurse. Here is some counsel: Ask lots of questions from everyone.not only the nurses, but other staff. Nursing students seem to carry into this little world of their own where they conjecture that what they are doing is top priority and that everyone is going to love to help them revise. Nope, wrong! Every person working at the hospital is in attendance to treat and take safekeeping of the patient, not you. Basically you win in our course and because you are a nursing student many of you perform as though they know everything. You don't, so just agree to that go. Be friendly to those, that will help you soooooo much. I know surrounded by my job the students who ask me question and are friendly I will help and be nice to. The ones who acquire in my process, I usually bite their head sour. RN students just bug me becaue they exploit like they know EVERYTHING and pretty much they don't own a clue. It's nobody's fault, in recent times a trap students fall into. Don't be anxious. You'll be fine. Just be friendly and HAVE CONFIDENCE. Nothing is worse than a student nurse who isn't sure of herself. I know, because I was a respiratory student once :-)
All of this is dependent on your instructor and the hospital and department you are doing your clinicals contained by. If you observe and listen, you should swot up alot from the other nurses. If you find a nurse who will mentor you and will answer your questions minus getting annoyed then that is to say a bonus. Good luck and you will always own a job.
