What to put for administrative job duties in resume?
Answers: I have on my resume something like "typical office duties, include typing, filing, answering multi-line telephone, preparing outgoing correspondence" and so on. Also list the word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email programs you are familiar with. You can do this in a separate section called "skills" or "computer skills".
ask yourself the question 'what did i do on that job?'... then write down your answer, take a look at it and see if you want it on your resume. perhaps you didn't do anything. perhaps they hired you to look good and access the bottom file cabinet drawer often. be sure and mention these items. surprisingly, they will elicit offers. i'm considering eliciting one myself.
Should I purloin the chore?
A lawyer & home friend recently asked me to work for her proletarian. I would help beside filing, typing and organize, she said. However, as much as I like her, I hold to admit that I do not enjoy experience whatsoever in regulation. So while I don't want to turn down this opportunity, I don't want her to lose any shred of respect she may presently have for me, when she see how clueless and inexperienced I am. What should I do? I am good at organize and typing, but that's basically it.Answers: Well, first of adjectives, if she is a good inherited friend then she wont be downing you for not have experience in a corral that she went to university for, not you.. and second, if you really wana win her over, tell her the truth. You don't enjoy experience but you would really like to swot up, and that you think you could do a smoking post. Don't ever doubt yourself. Especially in this class of situation. People like population who are confident. And if you believe you are confident, then so will she. Trust me.. That's how I started beside the job I own now as an Office Administrator and Marketing Manager for an upscale Home Remodeling Company. If I can do it, so can you!
Explain to her what you do know. And ask her what she's expecting out of you. There's nought wrong with not knowing something. Learning is a great point. And when you start something new, You usually revise something new on the agency. If that makes any sense.
Don't consent to the opportunity pass you by!
