Most respected living?
What do you guys think the most respected job (and the most disrespected) currently are?Answers: This is a difficult question. There are profoundly of jobs that should command a large amount of respect, but they don't necessarily get it and they may own people contained by some of those positions who do not deserve respect and make the entire profession look doomed to failure.
I know that the people I respect the most are abundant of my former teachers, but I don't ponder that most teachers gain the respect they deserve.
Most: Anything military related
Least (or in my judgment under-respected): Cops
most: law-type things, ie judges and lawyer
least: teacher.
I respect anyone who takes pride contained by their line of work, whether a tradesman or a janitor.
I disrespect the lethargic ones.

How older do you hold to be to bring back a brief within massachusetts?
I am 13 and I know I am too young but how aged do i have to be to obtain a job and what are the requirements?Answers: I bussed table at 15 I had connections though. I know where on earth I work now we cant hire till 16. Most supermarkets hire at 14 to 15 hail as them up.

It really chaps my sphincter that when you're applying for a assignment, they want every piece of information about you, copious times including your SSN, full employment history, addresses and phone numbers of reference and more--all BEFORE you even get an interview. Why can't they buy the specifics AFTER the interview? I just obtain my B.S. degree and normally have invested 5+ hours tweaking my cover communication and filling out applications only just for one position, then driving 7 hours surrounded by a blizzard for an interview.only to shutting up not getting the job. I believe that is inexcusable and I should be compensated. I touch like qualified workers are person abused and treated like clowns for corporate entertainment because in that is a surplus of them and such a shortage of jobs right immediately. P.S. I live in Michigan, so don't relay me to look at economic indicators and argue that at hand are tons of jobs. This is MI. We surrounded by the gutta fo' sho'.Answers: I hear you loud and clear! You wouldn't believe what I just go through for my job! It go on for months and not only did I own to explain every little tiny thing in the region of my entire life for the recent past 15 years, but I had to sign releases for them to check my medical collection, get fingerprinted - they checked to see if I have any legal problems (criminal and/or civil), they interviewed my friends and neighbors. Frankly, the unharmed experience was humiliating and insulting.
HOWEVER, it get me a $20,000/year RAISE in reward, great benefits, extremely interesting and challenging work near wide break open opportunities for upward mobility.
Yes, you are right, the opportunity market is extremely biased surrounded by favor of employers right very soon - and probably for the next 20 or so years and within the meantime, we're going to be experiencing heavy downward pressure on wages, benefits and increasing demands for the amount of work we are expected to produce. But, the accurate news is that seriously of people in recent times won't be willing to work as rugged as is required and that can tip the playing field to your power IF you just grit your teeth and leap through every hoop they hold up no matter how heaps hoops, no matter how glorious the hoops and even when they set the hoops on fire.
The other supremacy is that while I was profession hunting, I kept tweaking my resume and the end result is that it looks approaching I walk on wet (which I practically do).
Also, try putting yourself in the employer's shoes - hiring and firing nation is very expensive. AND, if you give attention to from the employer's point of view (e.g., ponder of the big picture of what your company, your department is all something like - almost every company is extremely focused on short-term bottom lines) and once you can see what it is your company/your department is trying to accomplish, then align yourself near the company's goals, and to be exact the best path to upward mobility.

But, yes, indeed, it chaps my - ably, I don't have ball. And what makes me even more irate is the reality that I am afraid employers will of late fire us all earlier we vest in our income plans or if our health insurance premiums become too costly - which they almost other do sometime after the age of 40 or 50. And, there is increasing bias against family 40+ and, God forbid, if you begin to slow down a moment or two, even if you did great things for the company in your leaner, meaner years, you may be turned out to pasture lately at the age that it is getting even more hard to receive a decent profession. Yes, it's an employer's world these days and it seriously chap my lips.
Ever read Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle." God, I hope we're not head back to those fruitless old days. Excellent book (although I could do in need the socialist crap at the end) well worth the read.
Get informed. Vote. Write to your Congress relatives. Demand that politicians actually do something to stop adjectives our jobs from going overseas or to at smallest level the playing area so American's don't have to work for $2/week and distribute up safety surrounded by the workplace in direct to compete with the Chinese.
Good luck bro. Good luck to adjectives of us. Think about adjectives the poor people at Enron - especially those who be too old to start over, too older to build a pension again, etc., etc.

Michigan is certainly contained by horrible shape - maybe the worst state within the country (that's why military recruiters are camped out near in droves, because they know relatives in Michigan are DESPERATE for jobs) - and the cutback is very frightening for anyone next to a brain and any awareness of what is going on.
But, who are you calling losers?
I don't blame you for being angry. Being ground down by an reduction destroyed by greed is extremely painful and most those would be seriously angry. Underemployment or unemployment is incredibly demoralizing.
It took me 5 years and in good health over 3,000 job applications to procure my job. I did a break-neck run (2,000 miles round trip) for a charge I didn't get. I blew reserves I needed in valise I got an out-of-state assignment and had to recompense moving costs (i.e., renting a room to land until a first paycheck). My point is HANG IN THERE! I have a friend who spent 3 years looking for his job - but when he finally get it, it paid a minor fortune. That friend other reinded me to HANG IN THERE! So, I want to share the encouragement and say HANG IN THERE DUDE. Give yourself every sympathetic of pep talk you can. Rant as much as you requirement, but hang contained by there. Keep war. At my lowest ebb, I was considering reading up on survivalism and finding myself a place cavernous in the inhospitable surroundings and just checking out altogether. I seriously hear you and hold great sympathy for you and for everyone caught in this nightmare - which is a growing number of the middle class. I hope you find population who will encourage you and remind you that you enjoy to trust that you will eventually get a honourable job -maybe even a great situation - but you have to row in these tough times.
