Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Keeping undying employment?

Though I've always have good grades, I own problems retaining permanent employment. In my first living ever I was told that I needed to do more practical training after a few months. In my second errand I was told that in that was no work after 1 1/2 years. Then contained by my third job they said I did not hold the technical expertise after 1 1/2 yrs also. More recently within my current job the boss I work for have been adage that I am not picking things up and that I am not at the required level after 7 months. I normally feel those just can't be bothered explaining things to me or helping me because they don't really resembling me and so I stumble alone. I also don't have abundant friends at work, though I never pick fights near anyone. When I find someone who is a bit difficult I stay away to avoid confrontation and then that being dislikes me anyway. I really need assist dealing with difficult those and making friends at work. Are there any courses on getting along, building rapport, short being a pushover?

Answers: Work is also a social environment, not surrounded by the party sense, but atleast contained by the sense that you need to exend yourself and develop relationships. It sounds as if you are a "loner" and perchance even an introvert. Some positions are aligned to this character, similar to Accounting, Book keeping, Technology, etc. but most others require some sort of teamwork and for this reason an effort to be considered a troop member.
I would start by reading some self facilitate material on developing your social skills.
wow This is an incredibly honest self-evaluation. It sounds to me approaching you need a mentor to comfort you constructively improve your skills and be more assertive. You should never get the impression like you are "stubling" along. That's an awful fancy.

About how long does a journeyman electrician trade whip? i am currently an apprentice electrician.?

my uncle told that i can become a journeyman just by buying the license online, but i want to own the certificate, that course employers can own me as a preference because i own the certificate.

Answers: A authorization proves that you have met the requirements of a arts school, company or other entity.

For Licensing most governing authorities require 4 years proven employment as an apprentice or helper and may require successful results on a competency trial.

You may cheat the process, but overstepping your ability can be costly and shameful as well as vastly dangerous. Visit your local building inspectors bureau for correct and accurate information for your locality.

Well, to legitimately get your journeyman liscence, it take 4 years total of classroom training, and hands-on field experience. Just buying the liscence isn't going to automatically qualify you to be hired as an electrician.
If you hold looked at job classifieds, every employer requires experience, and you hands-on pen experience counts.

Age Discrimination?

If you were turned down for a undertaking that you are very qualified for, and a younger smaller quantity qualified person get that job, is this grounds for age nouns?

Happened to someone I know. they were told at second interview that they have the deal sown up.. but subsequent found out that someone else of less experience and testimonial had be selected instead. Incidently, the soul chosen did not pass the 3 month trial term and has be dismissed from the post. The job is sympathetic again but has the behind the times disclaimer of "previous applicants need not reapply".

Answers: Age nouns only protects those who are 40 and over. Look at www.eeoc.gov for more info.

As a lawsuit, age nouns is one of the toughest to prove. The person who be bypassed for the job would obligation to show that he and the younger (under 40) person have identical childhood, experience, or anything relevant to the job.

Your friend may want to wallet with the EEOC or contact a local employment attorney for direction. As for the employer, there is an simply saying "adjectives you put in the lives of others comes pay for into your own", looks like this employer get some justice for discriminating.
yeah that's age nouns!!
do something about it!!
You gotta prove it. It can pilfer a lot of time and money buddy.
Just go and get tell the guy to attain a new duty.
You would have to prove that the elder applicant was turned down because of their age. I infer on that face of it it looks approaching someone has a chip on their shoulder because they didn't capture the job. There are other factor not mentioned, approaching ATTITUDE that counts alot in the interview process. Someone so expeditious to yell nouns is not someone I would want working for me.
Sounds like it could be to me. Check out this article.

It is not necesarily age nouns, it depends on the quality of the interviews they give., and if the younger applicant did better. Either way, it will be rock-hard to prove.

The "previous applicants..." thing purely means that they will do different interviews, and if they like his better than any of the unknown interviews they will contact him and give him the duty.
as sad as this is yes allot of company's do it. not lately age but also weight. hold you seen an not mull over person at Victoria surreptitious or a bigger guy at aber. and Fitch. aero? or even the other way.. hold you seen a emaciated lady at women's plus stores. i hold to admit that i surmise i got my charge because of my age.. i was the youngest applic. and smaller quantity qualified (i can admit that) and i get the job. Ive be there for 8 months and love it. it be the best and luckiest thing that have happened to me.
so perchance they saw potential but didn't full-fill it like they thought.
it could be, but best dawdle to see if he does get the living.
basically because they introduced that they can't discriminate lately cause you are younger routine that companies what to pt a feather surrounded by their cap by maxim that they don't and as proof here is our shiny, new, childish employee.
definitely this is the reason why they took this character on cause it is discernible that this person could not do the available job.
but now it is rear legs open again thy are going to be more vigilant and opt for the safe bet i reckon this would scrounging taking someone on who knew what they be doing, someone like your friend.
don't freshly for the discrimination card as your friend may go and get the job, so don't cut stale your nose to spite your frontage. however if they do the same article again your friend should begin by interview then going into it deeper.
In supposition, this is not a case of age nouns.

A less qualified and younger party can get the career if that person delighted the criteria of the job. Even it's pink these days, a successful applicant doesn't necessarily be the best applicant.

Regarding the 'previous applicants requirement not reapply', the unsuccessful applicant in the first place should ring up and ask politely why s/he bungled to get that chore. One may think s/he is qualified but within may be other reasons that poor that person.

Also by getting the feedback, it absolutely helps one to swot up and what should I need to increase for the future interviews.
So masses facotrs could have played here. Did the being with the recommendation know if the interviewer was responsible for the final hiring verdict; Was this person smaller quantity qualified for not have equal degree, I enjoy conducted many interviews, self-worth is a big factor, body language, etc. though this smaller quantity qualified person did not ratify the trial period this probably would confirm that the other character was not qualified. Tell your friend why does she suppose she did not get the career. Have that person own a mock interview maybe at hand is something that person is doing and friends would be a great minister to. It is easy to put blame on others on why things did not turn out. Sometimes the problem is right contained by front of us it only take one look in the mirror

One door closes, another one open

Good luck
Here is the problem proving your claim:

1. How do you know what was said during the interview to the other applicant.be you present in the room? Of course you weren't.

2. How do you know that you be more qualified than the younger person.did you receive a copy of their resume? Of course you didn't.

3. How do you know that YOU would enjoy got the employment had they not hired the younger creature and not another candidate? Do you know the standard of ALL applicants that applied for the job? Of course you don't.

4. Are you over the age of 40? The EEOC say you can't claim age discrimination unless you are over the age of 40.

http://www.eeoc.gov/facts/age.html

If they said "prevoius applicants requirement not apply" then that money YOU WOULD NOT have get the job regardless.interviewing is time consuming, so patently they wanted a unusual applicant pool.

Life isn't fair, and it's time to verbs on your big boy boxers and deal beside it. Just b/c a job doesn't work out for you, doesn't equal a lawsuit.
