I would focus on "categories" of job within I/T. There are job which are focused primarily on technology (such as server administration, database leadership etc.). There are also jobs which focus primarily on applications nouns (such as programmer, systems analyst etc.). There are also jobs which focus on project nouns which help guide a project toward completion by coordinating the accomplishments of diverse group of other individuals. I would suggest trying to decide which broad nouns your interests fall into back deciding on a specific charge.
