Hi, I really REALLY need to know, if its legally recognized for a boy of 14 to work in a restaurant as a busboy contained by NY state. My parents own the restaurant, but yet they told us it be not possible but I obligation to know what the truth is, and I'm having difficulty finding anything over the pattern and I'm not going to let someone's say-so metamorphose the way things enjoy been going for olden times year...Thank you so much!

Who have told you it is not possible? If the State of New York have told you this is not possible, consequently I would tend to believe them - they know their own laws.

At no time may minors of this age be employed within a factory.
When school is not within session, minors fourteen or fifteen years of age who have obtain an employment certificate may be employed surrounded by most occupations. An employment tag is issued by the chancellor in the city academy district of the city of New York and by the superintendent of schools within other school districts. Application should be made to the principal of the academy the minor attends or last attended.
Notwithstanding the above, minors of this age may occupy in the following occupation without an employment qualification: caddying, baby sitting, dispassionate yard and household work.
YOU WILL NEED AN EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY "the chancellor within the city school district of the city of New York and by the superintendent of school in other conservatory districts."

it depends on a lot of factors...how many table she can handle, her personality, how good she does her job and so on...
...but the intelligent waitresses can make $200 a day in tips!
for some people it may sound like way too much, but they do. and remeber TIPS are a well kept secret to not pay the really income tax on.
