What blas¨¦ duty would suit me?
I'm about to start my first year of uni and my courses are unsystematically all over the week so I call for flexibility. I'm not a bubbly person by quality, I'm more reserved and quiet. I'm not overly extroverted or confident so I doubt I could get rid of someone something :S I have minimal work experience (2 weeks done near school and a few months at McDonalds 2 years ago, which made me settle on I never want to work with efficient food again). I enjoy animals, Japanese (it's my craft choice) and computers. But all I want at the moment is a livelihood to give me extra money while I'm surrounded by uni.Does anyone have any suggestions?
Answers: See if your university have any student positions open on campus - you know, surrounded by the gym, library, tutoring, etc...
If that's a no-go check around at any Temp Services to see if they have anything that might comfort.
Finally - you could offer your services as a babysitter, dog-walker or something of that make-up where you can set your own programme!
When I was within college, I worked in the University housing organization. I would answer the phones and give ethnic group information on the dorms. It was great because respectively shift corresponded to one class session. I would go to my morning class, work a shift, walk to another class, work another shift. I liked mortal able to work between my classes. The best segment was I never have to work nights or weekends, so I didn't really miss out on any study or socialization time.

Answers: Minimum wage! Go to school!
Specific wages swing between employers, and can depend on your experience. However, they hold by law to remuneration the National Minimum Wage, so this will give you an concept.
"How much is the National Minimum Wage?
There are different levels of National Minimum Wage, depending on the age of the worker. The rates from 1 October 2007 are as follows:
* adults (which way people aged 22 and over) receive the full rate of lb5.52 an hour
* a 'nouns rate' of lb4.60 an hour is paid to workers aged 18 to 21 inclusive
* childlike people (those elder than school going away age and younger than 18, you're under academy leaving age until the conclusion of summer term of the institution year in which you turn 16) receive lb3.40 an hour
Apprentices underneath the age of 19 are not entitled to the National Minimum Wage. Apprentices who are 19 or over and surrounded by the first 12 months of their apprenticeship are not entitled to the National Minimum Wage."
Can employer check your employment history via situation check?
Right around the time I landed my dream charge in tv I have a cyst develop in my eardrum. It drestroyed adjectives my hearing and I have to have central surgery last year. I concluded up leaving the tv errand because my ear did not heal as speedily as it was supposed to and I couldn't do my work on headset. I took two clerical job after that, but was fired from both of them inwardly the first couple weeks because I wasn't "learning hurried enough."I don't put those two job down on resumes and applications, and have since regain all of my audible range, but can't seem to bring hired anywhere either.
Answers: You can relax. No potential employer is going to revise of your past employment failures. A perspective check is about your criminal diary and at that, the employer is only told if you are "bondable" (trustworthy beside money). The employer is simply told if you passed or failed the framework check. The check has nought to do with revealing where on earth you previously worked.
There is an unwritten rule in the employment world and specifically, you never speak badly almost a past member of staff on a reference telephone call. The first reason is that at hand is the risk of legal conduct by the former employee if they revise that you gave a unpromising reference and no employer desires that. Second, once an employee is gone, it's not your problem anymore. Wherever they run, it's up to them to prove themselves and not the past employer concern to ruin them. The only exception is if you gone on bad vocabulary, i.e. you fired for doing something illegal or seriously PO'd paperwork or a customer of theirs. If you were fired because you weren't study fast satisfactory, they won't reveal that to anyone. So, if someone were to check at a former employer the worst they will hear is "no comment". If you don't list them on your resume, there's no course for the potential employer to find out where you previously worked.
No one's going to find out around your previous work experiences. Even if they do somehow learn where on earth you worked and try to check, they still won't find out.
Here's an example. A friend of mine once ran a small soaring tech company. It reached a size that he looked-for to hire a VP. He found what he thought was an excellent claimant. This person submitted 4 reference which, naturally, adjectives checked out. My friend went further and did another 6 discrete suggestion checks. 5 checked out and one was indeterminate. He hired the person. Less than a year subsequently he had to fire the VP after catching him defraud the company! My friend complained he should have pursued the one colourless reference harder. That wasn't his mistake. The mistake is that even if you discretely check on someone, former times employers/managers won't reveal the person's problems. It's for the reasons I down above. In this example, the person be a crook but couldn't be charged so there's potential legal commotion by the person if you present a bad suggestion. Best just not to right to be heard anything bad. That's what really go on. Finally, discrete reference checks merely are done for very senior positions (executive) They don't do that for regular organization.
You have nought to fear.
Best,
