Where can i look for a job hiring 16 year olds, in colorado?

Answers: Craigslist

There are always websites, but I would recommend simply pumping the pavement. In the mean time, take a look here:

www.groovejob.com/browse/jobs/in/CO/Co...

www.teens4hire.org

www.coolworks.com/teen-jobs/

I know Wal-mart hired me when I was under 18 in Tennessee, and most large corporations won't care as long as the 16 year old is emancipated and/or only wants part time.

If you're not having much luck with the whole, job application thing, I would also recommend making a list of your job skills and offering services on your own.

Let's say you do great housekeeping, housesitting, childcare, etc. etc. You can make flyers and post them all over town. Offer services on craigslist.org, and put ads in the local "Thrifty Nickle" or something of that like. There is always a job to be had! :-)

How many references do you need to put on a functional resume?

Answers: Reference upon request only. But the 3 would do it in case they ask for it
I wouldn't put any references on your resume. If they want them they'll ask for them. Most people want at least 3, but I would have 5 on hand just cover all bases.

Good luck in your job search!

Work for money or toward the profession you want?

I am currently finding a hard time between staying at a opportunity I hate but pays capably, or moving on to a lower paying job that will allow me to move about to school and work more on my writing. I go to this job right after highschool through a relative. They earnings very very well, however I hate the long hours and repetative work. I hold no real bills to consider since I live beside family and lone contribute a small amount each month. So necessarily is it a dumb move to take a 10 dollar an hr settle cut to move to an easier less demanding post?

Answers: I am a firm believer in going for your dreams. If you can live on a lower pay and cut corners a little, do it. Always put your dreams first if you can afford to. Being pleased in natural life and in your employment is reallly important. I worked abundantly of jobs that I loathed until one day I contracted I wanted to be contented at work, so I am working towards that now. Good Luck!
I'm compassionate of in indistinguishable boat. It is very concrete NOT to have money as a factor, especially if you are scarcely making ends-meet. If you live with your parents, later you have a great deal more freedom to do what you want.

Maybe the best thing to ask yourself is to rob the financial factor out of it. Ask yourself "Do I want to be doing this job for the subsequent 10, 20 years?" and will you be happy doing it?

If the answer is no, consequently you know what you need to do to vary the situation. If it means going to conservatory, then do that- it may be the best judgment you ever made. You don't want to live your life wondering "what if" and enjoy it be too late.
