UPS EMPLOYEES! I enjoy a "tour" on Tuesday contained by Addison IL.?
Not sure what my question is exactly, but I REALLY want to variety a career near UPS and eventually drive. I realize I will have to work my path up for a few years as a package handler. I don't really enjoy "solid" work experience. I'm 27, have attended community college similar to a million times and never make it. Have have odd job and had a couple years of pizza transference experience. No real reference. Anything I can do improve my likelihood?Answers: If you want a career at UPS, you enjoy to be a hard worker. It patently takes a guaranteed kind of personality. I promise you its worth it! Not many job have such awesome benefits for free, and rate almost $30/hour. Top rate for a driver right now within my center is $28.20 and that goes up next to 2 contractual raises a year.
As far as it taking 5+ years to engender f/t.It all depends on the center, and timing. It just took me 3.5 years and I was an nouns driver for about a year back I went f/t.
As far as rising your chances, in recent times be on time, reimburse attention, ask questions, and stress that you are interested contained by a career at UPS. They would fairly hire people that are within it for the long haul.Good Luck!

I work for ups. Great company to bring a lot of experiences. You start low but if you systematically present results and own a possitive attitude toward the stressing industry of transportation you'll grow.
I started behind the phone, making call, 2 years later and 2 promotions latter, im in front of the customers, helping them, servicing them, some times entertaining them (restaurants, etc).
Note, you can be a driver minus a diploma, but if you want to become a drivers' supervisor you'll need to dance back to university and get that entry done.
But anyway you can stay as a driver for a good time and near the years of seniority you can also make some really well brought-up bucks. For that have surrounded by mind a 5 year term expectation at lowest possible.

If it is something you think you would resembling to do, go for it. You one and only live once and if you don't take any chance's you will never attain ahead.
