Clinton mentioned roughly raise minimum wate to $9 something?
is it a good concept? It may be good for those who is making $7.50 per hour, but what going on for those who make $10.00? I do not contemplate companies will do the adjustment just because of thatAnswers: When minimum wage go up so does EVERYTHING else

Do paralegals usually have to work long hours like attorneys?
Answers: Not normally. But it all depends. There are a myriad of different factors to take into account.
Is the firm a small one? Is the attorney taking on too many cases? Certainly, if the attorney is greedy, and is taking on too many cases at once, the paralegal will have to work harder and longer hours.
It also depends on other things- most importantly, the branch of law that you are dealing with. Some types of law deal with strict and pressing deadlines: for example, SSDI/SSI cases, worker's comp, accidents, etc. Anything that involves a statute of limitations is going to be high stress.
Some less strenuous fields are probate, wills, and trusts. Sometimes bankruptcy is low stress, but it really can vary.
It depends on how many attorneys are in the firm, how many paralegals there are, and the type and number of cases that you are responsible for. But in general, no, the paralegal will not be working as many hours as will the lawyer.
The opportunities for a paralegal really depends on the specialty. The most in demand paralegals are those in the litigation field; followed by corporate paralegals who are responsible for maintaining corporate records, articles of incorporation, etc. While the "least" markeable [but the "highest" paid] paralegals are in the field of intellectual property [i.e., patents, trademarks] and immigration law. In conclusion, choose your paralegal courses accordingly, with emphasis on litigation preparation [discovery], docketing/calendaring of incoming pleadings [calendaring] and trial preparation [creating Exhibit tabs, Bajii jury instructions, etc.]. The "pro" side of a litigation paralegal is often "unlimited" overtime which can amount to a high salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, while the "downside," being constantly pressured to meet a monthly client billable quota. And failing to meet that quota, often results in the paralegal's overnight dismissal. It's not a pretty picture. I just want to lay out what really happens in the real world of litigators and their relationship with subordinate paralegals.
Good luck!
Interview for enrty smooth walmart profession?
I know a lot of you enjoy problems with walmart and etc, but I really requirement the work and this is the only reply to me.-----------------------------------
I applied they call a day next and asked for me to come in thurday at 9:30, I guess for an interview? He mentioned nightime stocker, and I'm only 16 lol, so its entry plane.
What should I expect, and how should I prepare? I've been researching on my own so I'm not apathetic, however any extra things anyone can offer, please do. What should I wear, what can I expect them to enunciate or do. And anything lol, anything you want to say, be honest :p, even if you want to take home a joke, im up for it :p please and thank you
Answers: It is perversely for an interview. He might of not at looked at your application you submitted that long, so he might think you are 18 and can work overnight. But once you budge to the interview he'll know by then that you are 16 and i'm assuming enjoy school surrounded by the day. He'll work near your schedule. Just be friendly and smile profoundly. Don't go blank on the interview question. If you don't have previous work expierence, he will ask you questions going on for school. So prepare for those question.
Double-check with your state's Labor Board (some others telephone it employment board, or anything along those lines) and be sure to check the rights and legalities of being 16 and working at darkness. I'm not 100% sure, but some states limit the number of hours you can work during the week, unless for anything reason you are not surrounded by school. Sometimes, depending on the specific responsibilities of stockers (heavy equipment versus simply replacing stuff in the shelves) you might be required to own special training.
Good luck. And no matter how I intuitively feel around Wal-Mart, there is nought wrong in YOU working an honest work.
My son worked at a Kroger supermarket, which was confederation, and he HAD to join. His reimburse was $6 an hour, or 85c above minimum wage at the time. But he have to pay dues.. So he go to non-union Walmart as a nighttime stocker and got rewarded $8.90 an hour (which included 50c an hour for the overnight differential). Minimum wage was still $5.15 at the time.
What I hear from my son is so much different than what I hear on the Internet that I've kept a close study on the Walmarts around here. I've found there are two sources for the impossible press.
One is some union trying to spread rumors because they can't achieve a foot into the stores (and from the Kroger example, I can see why), and the other is disgruntled employees that be terminated for cause.
There hold been some lawful lawsuits against Walmart due to boneheaded decisions by lower height managers, but such lawsuits are adjectives for many Fortune 500 companies. Walmart seem to get more published due, again, to the confederation trying to get into their stores.
So, to YOUR quiz. Many states consider it an abuse of child labor to work kids lower than 16 more than just a couple hours a week. But most states relax the restrictions when you hit 16.
As for anything special to do? Not really. You don't involve to spiff up, dress up, and look like their sole helping hand. On the other hand, you also don't want to look similar to a total slob, like some homeless guy a short time ago crawling in sour the street. Just neat and mundane, shirt tucked in and pant up to your waist, no holes.
Nothing specific to say, except being vitally truthful. You're not applying for an ambassorship to the UN. Don't even worry roughly speaking being smooth satisfactory. You are 16, after all. But two things they WILL check on is a criminal milieu check (excluding traffic tickets, but arrests DO show up) and a drug test. Even if you exceed, if you're ever injured on the job, a brand new drug test is automatic, which could affect your entitlement to workman's comp. So do yourself a favor and stay clear.
For those who argue that it shouldn't be illicit, it doesn't matter, It IS risky and that's all that any business wishes. It's up to you to decide whether the drugs or the paycheck is more essential.
