I got compensated off yesterday coz the company is doing unsuccessfully, on paper my end day if Fri but I be told I didn't have to work the rest of the wk but would receive paid for it, should I skulk till monday to go to jobcentre to bring in a claim or can I do that now? xxAnswers: Go ahead & do it immediately Indie chic, for u never know what u lose by procrastination.

Its worth going to or phoning the job hub to see what they say is best to do.
You could ofcourse look for an agency to work for and may even know how to start a new role soon.
I should believe you can make a claim immediately, but if the Co has be good next to you, I would say, they will appreciate the comfort you give them for the rest of the week.

Go to the jobcentre now - as far as I know making a claim take time anyway.
If you have you get a letter confirming the information from your ex-employer cart it with you, as I believe the post centre will request that.
