Leaving a county employment for a federal profession near Homeland Security?
I've only be with the county for four months, but I enjoy a meet and greet for a federal post. The pay is terrifically similiar. Is a federal job that much better? I would surface bad departing so soon but if the opportunity is better then I would. The unsullied job is next to the Department of Homeland Security.Answers: A federal job will probably distribute more opportunities for advancement as ably as federal benefits. However, I would check out some the perks since making my decisions. By perk, I mean things such as traveling, expense story, car, allowances, etc..

Which job will allow distinct facial piercings? Which better specified career will not allow facial piercings?
I am looking into a second career for myself but enjoy quite a few evident body piercings. and most of them are dermal-anchors, so, i cant exactly take them out. They are more irreversible. I am having trouble decide a career picking if i dont know about them allowing evident piercings.Answers: Probably a lot of things within the arts. Set builder, band head, rock and/or country musician, roadie, stage manager, etc.
Mechanic conceivably?
Something with not greatly of visible contact near the public (unfortunately a lot of companies are afraid to agree to employees even show a small pretty tattoo or more than two piercings within the ear lobes--I know. Grrrrrr..). What about computer trouble shooting/customer service for an ISP?

Another thought is something along the lines of Hard Rock Cafe.

I work in pediatrics and we are excluded any "non traditional" piercings although I am allowed a couple of tiny studs in the cartilege of my ear.
One item you have to remember...when you are working for a company, regardless of whether or not you if truth be told do business with others within person or not, you are representing that company.
You will stipulation to find a company that is lax surrounded by how their employees look.
For the most quantity, any of the professional careers (attorney, accountant, doctors, etc) will not be approachable to facial piercings.

Summer brief -- waitressing information?
I will be 17 this summer, and instead of travelling with my loved ones, I actually want to dance out and find a job :]I'm doing this more for experience (communication, etc) than in reality making money.
I have a few question:
- what does the manager look for surrounded by a waitress?
- what makes you tip more?
- how long are the shifts usually?
- how does it salary? base earnings + tip?
Gosh, I'm so excited! My parents have other gotten me everything I wanted... It's great, but earn my own money must feel even better :)

Answers: Well it depends on what kind of place you work in-
The shifts are usually 7- 9 hours
Managers want reliability above adjectives.
Base pay is around $2.30 (minimum wage is different for servers)and tips come and go from 10%-20% of the check
Night shifts are always better for tipping...
Being attentive and accomodating is your best bet for correct tips but some people are in recent times cheap no matter what lol.

Waitressing sucks. No, I'm a guy and have never done it, but I've see what they have to put up near. There are a few that make pretty well brought-up income at it, but they're few, and it's still hard on them. For that source, I tip well even near crappy service. But, again, I'm a rare satchel.
A waitress is the lowest person on the totem pole contained by a restaurant. She catches adjectives the crap from the rest of the staff, yet she's the one on the front flash when the customer is píssed. If you can learn to brand money in that big-hearted of environment, then you'll enjoy learned a skill surrounded by Customer Service that others only believe they could write books about.
Tipped force, by law, trademark half as much as minimum wage for everyone else. Tips for waitresses should be something like 20%, never less than 10% for truly impossible service, and sometimes can range to 33% from great customers. In actuality, though, even the IRS knows that tips mostly average out to 8% of the tickets.
The customer IS always right. The position is more difficult when you have to comfort the customer understand HOW to be right. And no event how busy you are, each customer is your own vastly special customer, better than all the rest. You're never TOO busy for your most special customers (even when that's adjectives of them). See what I mean give or take a few difficult? Master that, and you will achieve skills that will place you contained by demand surrounded by the highest corporate structures. Too unpromising you don't get salaried worth a crap while learning.
