What is the difference between getting laid off, getting fired, quitting and termination without cause?
Answers: The differences come to when you go and try to claim Unemployment. If you were laid off- you get unemployment benefits- no problem.
If you were fired- typically you are not eligible to claim benefits- some states require you to wait a specific time period; as your unemployment status was due to negligence.
If you quit- this is considered job abandonment- no unemployment benefits.
Termination without cause when it relates to a states employment at will status just means that if they find out you lied on an application, you were late too many times, threatened your boss- whatever the case they do not have to go through any type of write-up procedure to prove that you were a problem employee. Results here - your canned.
What you sign is the notification that you were told this before being hired so you can't sue them for this later. Relating back to unemployment benefits- if you tell them this is your reason for you claim they will have to investigate whether or not you are eligible for unemployment. (Depending on what they find out from your employer could get your benefits denied.)
Bottom line here is that most of these terms are used for determining unemployment eligibility and typically setup to protect the employers. Potential employers will also use this terminology to decide whether or not they would consider you for employment. If your story doesn't match what the ex-employer states, this is a problem for you.
In the end they all mean one thing- You are out of a job.

International business is not just traveling around have a good time, in that are many other factor that need to be considered; e.g. international accounting standards, international regulation, culture and language. It is tricky to succeed straight from college into an international role, generally nation need experience next to in the company. But if she is motivate satisfactory and has the drive I am sure she will step OK.
