I have a business point from UK and now within Bay Area. I have a crevice of 2 years in my resume as I didn't enjoy a work-permit but now I do hold one. I do mention in my cover that I lately received work-permit. Its been 3 weeks and I get no reply from any of the jobs I applied to. Can anyone assist me knowing what might have gone wrong ? the distance ? how should I explain the gap ? I am unseal to start with anything but should be a lil creative for it to compliment next to my business degree.Answers: Try to take in touch near the HR department and let them know you sent a resume and that your still interested within working there. Your resume could own got lost or something. If you dont hear anything else from them surrounded by say a week it might be time to verbs. Worry about the work perforation issue after you get an interview planned and too it seems resembling a justifiable official issue. If they hold that against you then you dont wont to work for them anyway.
its a bit to contribute a clear answer without a discussion of your diploma and what field you are applying contained by. short of that your business degree should assist but a 2 year gap is big - not impossible but it may be the number one apology you aren't getting a bite.
have you considered a guide hunter or temp agency? if you are the right type of employee the business may even pay cheque the the fees. in the two years enjoy you made contacts with firms you could target. you may want to step up your brief search pains until the offers start coming within. good luck!
