Careers Employment Questions and Answers

I'm a security guard, is that considered a blue collar job?

Answers: Yes, it's a blue collar job.
White collar is management, or professional in which a degree is the required minimum for the job, such as doctor, lawyer, engineer, accountant, etc.

Blue collar is the physical worker, or technician in which only a minimum education is necessary for the job, which would include an Associate degree.
"Blue collar is the physical worker"

Security guards dont really do any phyiscal work.

Except on the odd occasion you have to throw someone out.

When Leaving a assignment do they still clear for your break time?

I will be leaving a undertaking I am at currently & on the contract it states after 3 months I get 2 weeks rewarded vacation time & benefits, I enjoy given them my 2 weeks notice, will they still compensate for my vacation time?

Answers: Maybe.

Vacation pay envelope is not mandated by imperative, but some states do say an employer must follow its own policy concerning time off pay. Your best bet is to check next to your state's department of labor, wage and hour division.
This depends on company policy.

Some companies do, some don't.

But, I find it hard to believe that any company awards 2 weeks sour for every 13 weeks worked, unless you are in Europe.
That's unusual that they would give you break time after 3 months - or at least a full 2 weeks.

Yes. Generally, if you own unused vacation time, they will salary you for the time you have earn.
They will pay you the portion of the time off that you earned. Even though the contract said you would catch your vacation after working for 3 months, to be exact your entire vacation for the year, so you will draw from a percentage. If you worked 6 months, you will get 1/2 of your leave entitlement in settle.

How to concordat w/a denote supervisor when you are almost gone from a employment?

Ok, the B*tch doesn't know it, yet, but I hold been interviewing for 2 weeks. Most of my interviews own been after work, long lunches and "doctor" appts. within the morning. I all but own this job, as they told me so yesterday. However, this tight-fisted, heartless rime Queen that is my supervisor make my life a living hell when I'm at my current position. I take no notice of her-she writes me a mean email. Or, growls my cross like I'm a dog when not a soul is around (though co-workers have be in other rooms and hear her, & even commented to me how she talks to me approaching s*t). When all this fail, she makes snide, malicious comments that attempt to berate me and my intellect, but then pass them off as joke. I'm not working on my MFA to be treated similar to this, and haven't been treated this desperate since I worked in HS. I want to relate her cold dark heart to step back to hell, since they miss her down within, but have be biting my tongue. Any advice? Because I want to snap on this joggle so bad!
PS) small comp,no HR

Answers: Wait until you own the other job, and than distribute her your 2 weeks notice. Tell her that you don't appreciate her attitude and unprofessionalism within the office place. Say, her attempts to berate you merely make her look desperate, and for that reason your departing. Before you leave be in motion to her boss and explain her attitude. Dont go past its sell-by date on her because this is what she is looking for. Leave with class and dignity, and she will grain like a loser because you never stooped to her horizontal. Than after you are gone buy a dildo, a really big one and mail it to her at the department with an anonymous document that says, use this it may relief.
If you dealed with it adjectives this time you can wait a touch more, it depends on you , you can pull a prank on her, or follow Jesus insist on.
However, to be fair, you own to keep proffesional and after your two week distinguish you can e-mail a leeter of your resign motive to her supervisors, thar would keep an eye on her.
Remember that what go around..
Feel sorry for her. She is an unhappy personality or she would not have the requirement to belittle other people. Take comfort within that. Just hold your tongue.

Get the new errand and give your two weeks interest. I wouldn't recommend telling her sour on your last hours of daylight or writing a letter to government. How will that benefit you? There is a very material possibility that it may cause you professional wreckage. Management could read a letter similar to that and even though it may be a 100% true, look at it as you being a trouble inventor. If that occurrs, you just burned a professional bridge.

I know it's not comfortable but try to be a better person. I run into a similar situation and left the company. Gave my two weeks and wish everyone well. Unfortunately for the "evil" inspector I was the wager on bone of the department. 3 months later I get a phone call from the Vice President of the company wanting me backbone because after I left three other folks quit and the productivity went down the tubes governing to the "evil" manager man canned. I have already moved on to my current position but don't you think that phone call upon gave me the thaw out and fuzzies inside.

There is such thing as Karma.
