Careers Employment Questions and Answers

A scam? Has anyone ever used an employment agency that charges you $185 to find you a mission?

I found an add within the classifieds for a job and I call the number. After I called the # they didn't read out anything about the specific available job I wanted to apply for. She asked going on for my education and work experience. They said that after I register and rate the fee they would start sending me to run into with employer right away and that their employers don't place add in the article. She said I would get access to their website. They don't enjoy an office practical where I live so I would enjoy to travel 2 hrs away just to run into with the agency. Its call Northwest Employment. I just want feedback since I spend $185. They said I would only own to pay it once and after in the adjectives their service would be free.

Answers: YEA,IT'S A SCAM AND I GOT CAUGHT ON IT.PAY UP FONT AND SIGH THE CONTRACT.THEN THEY LOOK THROUGH THE WANT ADS IN THE PAPER,GIVE YOU A CARD AND SEND YOU OUT.

BOSS AND TOLD THEM THEY COULDN'T
HIRE ME,AS THEY HAVE A CONTRACT.i didn't get the opportunity.
Dont trust anyone offering money up front!! i wouldnt do it if I was you there's plenty of charge agencies out here thats offering free service. That is a scam!!
You can always look up companies on better business bureau www.bbb.org to go and get more info on the company.
don't do it. employment agencies get compensated by the company they scout for. you would be the product they sell...why would you discharge them for finding you a job they find paid to find?

i deliberate it's a scam.
If you have to pay packet something it is a scam. You should never have to remuneration money to get salaried money for your work. #1 rule in scams/fraud.

Need guidance from working PROFESSIONALS?

hi

this is a general interrogate to ALL professionals. it doesn't matter whether you're a doctor, legal representative, accountant, mechanics, plumber etc.

how did you learn the skills needed for your profession and what, within your opinion, is the single BEST road to learn the requisite skills needed for any profession.

is it formal education? is it hand on experience? some type of a apprenticeship etc?

kindly make a contribution me some practical "real world" warning, as i am a recent college graduate who just started out on his first opening?

thanks

tom

p.s. - please agree to me know what YOUR profession is, so i know where you're coming from

Answers: I don't give attention to there is a single best opening to get the obligatory skills, it's a combination of things. Practical experience without coaching often lead to an inability to see the bigger picture. Formal education in need practical experience often lead to an inability to complete even simple tasks.

I am a software engineer and I own had no trouble getting job. I got the best formal teaching I could given my set of circumstances, and I asked professors if they could help me go and get an internship. At my internship, I worked hard until I be promoted to a position above intern and then looked for full time positions after graduation. It be the combination of rock solid experience and higher tuition that made me attractive to employers and give me confidence.
Depends what you do. I work in the financial services industry within NY in an operation role. We generally hire population with a rough overview of the industry, markets, etc. and next teach them the fundamentals on the post. We use a shadowing approach, where a brand new joiner sits next to an experienced being for a few days before getting into the "driver's form." Your work is then reviewed until you prove you've get it down, and then you assume full responsibility.

This on-the-job approach works capably because the technology and processes that we use are designed in-house, so you couldn't learn them contained by school or elsewhere.

Hope that help.
