Answers: you talk similar to me about 10 years ago. and you know what? you should do what you want to do, because you're going to live just once. and if you follow only what other populace tell you what you must do or not... consequently guess what? they don't have much planed for you, and if you do what you don't close to... you feel miserable. you own to plan your own life. and the opening to go more or less doing it is by focusing on what you really want.

also, read this article about human mind and it's thinking: http://www.freetomanifest.com/positive_t...

ps. do what you really want to do.
Who say you have to picj freshly one thing? Finish your point in that plan and clutch courses in the field that interest you as well: doesn`t matter what artyou like and are dutiful at. There are many artists that own "regular" jobs and paint or sculpt or whtever on the side. If you are right enough and enjoy the connections you could quit the job and do that full time, but contained by the meantime you will have a fad that is mentally rewarding lacking doing the whole "broke artists looking for work" item.
