Not much crossover. If you want to do line law and civil statute (real estate and bankruptcy), your best bet is to work for a small firm or be a sole practitioner.

Answers: I am not within school right immediately, but when I did go for vet assistant I asked my vet where on earth I took my cats if I could volunteer to get experience and they said yes, which done up to be a full time job, so I don`t know you could try to do the same.

and i meditate if you marketed your customer service skills near an aptitude for animal welfare, any vet office would be smiling to have you on their staff. every animal clinic or vet organization has a ton of customer follow up...and not everything have to do with human being certified. there are amny duties available within that field.

there are some differences between the two, not a lot, mostly the differences are in areas of focus. in the public realm collections of funds is the major focus while in the private sector the primary focus is expenditures. both deal with the financial "health" of the company or agency or state etcetra.
depending on the size of the office the assistant could have simple bookkeeping duties up to overall accounting responsibilities.
When I was an assistance controller, my duties included training and supervising staff accountants and clerical people, reviewing and approving journal entries, account analysis, general ledger maintenance, preparing monthly financial statements, assisting outside auditors and preparation of workpapers (certified audit, insurance audit worker comp ins audit, property tax audit, asset based lending audits), fixed asset ledger and depreciation calculations, taxes ( federal & state supporting schedules for CPA, sales & use taxes, employment taxes, EPA, property taxes), respond to governmental studies by DOL, EPA, OSHA, Social Security Adminisrtation.
