How do you gently pressure a potential employer for a decision on hiring you?




Answers: for insurance purposes and wage and hour purposes you can not "work" for 2 days free as a trial. you can observe their operations to decide if you want a position but if you work you are paid, it is a non-negotiable part of the wage and hour laws. for this to happen all appropriate paperwork must be completed before you start, in which case you are hired.

you pressure employer's by having a strong interview, a great work ethic, fantastic references and by communication with them your need for an answer as you are in the process of deciding on another position. let them know you much prefer their position but you have to make a decision on the other offer.
Offer to do a trial 2 day test with your skills as an employee. Tell the employer they don't pay if their unsatisfied after those 2 days. If they are satisfied they pay and you get on payroll. It's a sales pitch that businesses use to get customers, why can't it work for employment?

If that is not an option, call up and ask the employer if him/her if you could buy them lunch and discuss your future as an employee with their company.

What do you reason of someone who starts a unusual employment and one of their first question is..."can we IM"?

I thought people come to work, to work. Not to IM their friends.


Answers: Well, not only is it totally unprofessional of this perrson to want to IM so feebly, they can't do without it at work. They ask beforehand even proving they are a good worker. You are salaried when you are at work to work. And they are dumb and impetuous satisfactory to ask!

we don't pay for IM to friends.
It depends on why and next to whom they are wanting to IM. Many companies, including mine, allow IM'ing, but they limit it to internal users singular. That way I can hugely briefly speak with someone out at one of our remote office, without going to the time or expense of making a phone telephone call. So its remotely possible that your employee intended, is there an inter-office IM system that we use?
It depends on the company you work for and the employment they will be doing. Many jobs immediately allow workers to IM or surf the Internet if they don't have any pressing business. Some actively promote workers to have the occasional downtime during work within order to freshen their minds unless they hold important work to do. Personally I come up with it's a valid question. Better that they be open just about it and asked, so if the answer is "no" then you shouldn't own any future ambiguity. People hold personal phone calls at work, so why not IMs? Different companies own different policies.
Chances are that person is youthful, and taking them away from IM is like adjectives the cord. A lot of younger people can't live short it. I'm willing to bet that they will enjoy their cell phone right on their hip. Since they can't IM... they will need to use their cell phone... A LOT!
It depends on the charge. Some places do not mind if their employees IM other relatives as long as they get their work done. Other job have so much work nouns that there is little or no time to IM. It should be a crust by case cause with the hand knowing that if work suffers, than the IM goes.

After statute arts school, do you entail to pass by the handrail within command to work?

I want to work as a level III Legal Assistant for a lofty price law firm, or conceivably somewhere in public organization, maybe for a court or even a honest non-profit organization. Do you obligation to pass the fishing rod for any of these jobs?


Answers: A Bachelor's scope is enough to accomplish the duties of a legal assistant !!
There are things you can do short passing the tablet, but the more important interrogate is why would you NOT try to pass the lump? Granted bar go past rates sometimes are around 50%, really, but until you try, you don't know how you'll do. You will certainly grasp more respect and have more option.

If you want to work in a too expensive law firm I cannot see why they'd want to hire someone who go to law institution but didn't try to pass the bar--doesn't show confidence or initiative or anything else they'd potential want.

The law is an overcrowded pasture and firms are looking for reasons NOT to hire you and you're giving them a great one.

Not sure what constitutes "public office" to your or a court or such, but again, not one able to try a defence is a handicap. You don't have to become a litigator, but eliminate that option is bizarre.
Not for a allowed assistant, but many lawyer do not want to hire legal assistants next to law degree. Such candidates are overqualified.
