Should they compensate me for this?
I know this a little long but I really have need of some advice..I enjoy been working at Real Estate Finance company as an assistant for close to a year. I am a really righteous Receptionist/Secretary, however I don't know anything about Real Estate Finance. My 2 bosses initiate a class in the summer around Real Estate Finance at NYU and they want me to attend the classes so I can learn around their work and so I can assist them as well. However, the class is from 5-8pm every tuesday and it take an hour to go and come put a bet on from the city. My normal working hours for them is 9-5pm and I hold a babysitting job from 6-8pm. Therefore I will hold to give up my babysitting brief on tuesday nights to be in motion the class.
I don't think they are going to reward me for my time at this class, do you think it is wrong for me to charge them? Especially since I really don't want a carreer within Real Estate Finance and I really need the money that I will be losing from my babysitting. What should I do?
Answers: If they are requesting you to rob the course.Yes they have to foot you for the cost of the course...not any travel or loss of other income.
If they are suggesting that you rob the course, it is on you.
If you don't want a career within Real Estate...tell them...that should be the extremity of the discussion.
Being more knowledgeable nearly your current job and company make you a more desirable employee, for adjectives involved.
If you are very polite at your particular position and don't want to learn more in the region of Real Estate then you might consider shifting jobs. If you are coming up on a elevate soon, I know here in Calif they don't want to earnings much for that job that you do and would fairly re-train at a lower base rate than reward the due raise.

Will taking this class secure you a elevate in the close future. After adjectives you job duties will increase. I would not ask them to pay cheque you to take the class but I would ask that they retribution for the class and any class materials. Most employers will do this for continuing your tuition.
If they do agree to pay you, conceivably on Tuesday you can change your hours. Say work from 12 -8 instead of your mundane 9-5. That way you if you call for to you can still supplement your income by using the extra time in the morning. Say dog walking.
It depends on if they are requiring you to transport the class. If it's a stipulation of the job (you may call for to ask if it is), then they are required to take-home pay you.
However, remember that your bosses are people too. Go surrounded by and tell them your concerns. Tell them something like your babysitting job and such. Let them know the situation and they will any work out a compromise, tell you they will pay envelope you and basically cessation the mystery. Just be open and honest beside your boss and he will return the favor.
Your employers are not officially responsible. You could request that they pay the cost of the class, but not for the time involved contained by attending. That would be way over the top.
Of course, it doesn't hurt to ask -- they may agree. Ultimately you will hold to decide if the class is worth it to you.
Ive get 4 weeks to look for a upright career..what do i do?
imleaving this current job its soo crap and lower than paid.i looked-for to find another one before i quit but ive have enough. its underpaid and they put together me lift stout things which is killing my spinal column not realsiing im a girl.anyway is this enough time to capture a proper decent salaried job.im 23 graduate near a law scope and limited bureau experience.
will it easy 4 me..i sent of a 5 undertaking applications yuesterday only to realise that i forgot to variation some dates on it...i wrote the cv until that time 0ctober and on it it says i will be birth a course in oct 2007 [which have now passed] so ive messed up some date...will they notice[crap questions i know]

Answers: Go to your local Classified box of the newspaper and look for entry stratum clerical work.... although I find it VERY hard to believe you graduate with a LAW amount because of your poor writing skills, hopefully they will overlook that and you will promise to use spell check in adjectives of your work.
Maybe you need to metamorphose the way you dress if population don't realise you are a girl?
They WILL notice that your CV is past it and probably think that you can't really be bothered checking details. The same as near your spelling.
If you are serious about a post, realise that you have a imperative degree. You should be tihnking almost your career. The overall ambition of your life in a minute is to work where you are doing something near your law point.
Also realise that you will not be a lawyer overnight. Now that you enjoy a degree it deosn't mingy that you will start at the top. You will have to gain working experience and probably acquire a contract.
You may need to attain more experience in working within an office, because eventually things will get hold of better.
You can go to especially good sites that help out you update your CV to make it look more proffessional. Because you are a proffessional immediately.
Also try to get experience of working outside your country. Go to sites on bureau work and lawyer assistant within Dubai, they have plenty.
Also here are very angelic U.S training programmes for your career. Do research over the internet. Realise that a work start won't take four weeks it may transport longer.
If you are in desperate requirement of money then receive any job and achieve money whilst you are searching for a occupation job.
The standard thing is to be tolerant, list your priorities within life and what you want. Think long and knotty thiniking about what you can impart and what you don't enjoy.

What majors or classes do I enjoy to study to be a nurse at a hospital?
there's this nursing (rn) major at hunter college for a bachelor's amount and i was wondering if that be what i should take contained by order to become a nurse at a hospital. gratefulness.Answers: You can always shift for the 2 year degree and afterwards bridge over to the BSN at a later time. Where I work within is no difference in BSN or ADN. We adjectives have like peas in a pod job title, responsibilities and settle up rate. I am a RN currently working on my BSN. I am able to work a few times a week (12 hour days) and dance to school the rest of the week. A 2 year point is misleading because there are classes you must overhaul and excell in until that time you are even accepted to nursing arts school at least where on earth I live in Texas. For an associate scope in nursing I have to take English 1, Algebra, Anatomy and Physiology and a Psych class previously being permitted to nursing school. However I also have to take another psych class, microbiology, speech and other classes within addition to adjectives the nursing classes. Getting into nursing school is deeply competitive especially for ADN. In addition nursing conservatory is very stimulating. However, it is the best investment I have ever made.

A BSN or batchelors amount will take you almost 5 years to obtain, including your pre-requisites. an alternative would be an associates amount in nursing which still enable you to practice as a registered nurse. there really is no difference surrounded by skills or scope of practice, but the course within 2 years, maybe 3 if you inevitability all your pre-requisites. you may want to check and see if your local community college offer the associate degree course. don't gamble away your time on a lpn license unless you don't have greatly of time and need to be done near school within a hurry. also the pay size for a rn is better than a lpn. good luck beside your decision
