The state and US Dept of labor will state that you must be remunerated at time and a half for every hour worked over 40.
The 1/2 hour for lunch is officially recognized, but if he does that, he has to dispense you 2, 15-minute breaks.

In the USA, employer must give their human resources a 15 minute break for 5 hours of work or a 30 minute break for 8 hours, so the half an hour break may be legitimate depending on how many hours you work a time.
But the 50 hours with no overtime is completely against the decree (if you are really on hourly). If you like the brief, then I would walk to the person above your boss and explain it to them and see if you can work it out that track.
If not, I would go straight to your local labor board and profile a complaint. You will need documentation, so if you enjoy a time card that documents your hours worked, and then a paycheck to show that you are not getting remunerated overtime, the labor will investigate, and they will force the employer to pay you adjectives the unpaid overtime since you worked there.
I don't muse it IS legal. Try contacting your State department of Labor, Wages and Hours Division, they bring paid to help out you for FREE! They'll probably ask for proof, bring your wage statements. I
think it's FEDERAL canon that anything over 40 hours a week IS overtime, except in ag job, and I think breaks are required,too.

even if your livelihood description was 50 hours a week at 10 hour days, you should be have more than a half hour break. it should be something close to a 15-30 minute morning tea and a 30-60 minute lunch break.
if your job description be 38 hour week like most are next i would QUIT or report him and then he will hold to backpay you for all the overtime you own done and will get into big trouble!

It isn't unless you are an exempt member of staff. Hourly employees who are qualified as exempt are not permitted to earn overtime discharge by law.
