Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Is it proper to send a picture with a resume for a job?

Answers: No generally its is not normal to send a picture.

the only major exception (where photos are required) is for auditions for plays, movies, TV and for modelling.
There is no need for this, unless they specify that it's needed (and the only time they should do that is when it's for an acting job or something very similar). No employer should hire you based on your looks. It should be about your resume and your previous experience.

Many employers would be turned-off if there was a picture as they would assume you have nothing else to offer except the way you look.

What develop to adjectives the dignified paying job?

Is it me or does it seem as if adjectives of the high paying job are obselete these days. I am an event planner for the sole purpose that as a computer tech (and after 9/11) I couldn't find a pious paying job (jobs spell were strong to come by) so now I own my own company planning events. Although moving slow it is starting to pick up. Has anyone else feel this strain here in Indianapolis?

Answers: If your business is slow at present, would you reckon about running something else alongside it, something that could be done part of a set time and which could create the size able income you are unmistakably looking for.
If you can email me I will send you some pattern sites to look at.
the high paying job went to low wage workers overseas.

The companies work on a precept that profits are more noteworthy than employees.
I also do event planning but not AS a business. I do it IN my business. I really delight in doing it too and this way I enjoy something to fall vertebrae on and don't have to verbs about slow times. The first Regional training prior arrangement I planned for our area be great and I had so much fun doing it that I settled that rather than doing it once a year, I would own local quarterly meetings. Now, I am considering once a month events. I also enjoy planning the big charity events as well.

I truly hope things pick up for you. If you have need of any tips, feel free to contact me. Forgive me if it take me a few hours to get posterior to you as I am going into my busy season and I am in and out in this day and age. I look forward to hearing from you and yearning you all the best!

Have you ever call within sick on your first afternoon of work?

There was supposed to be a untried receptionist starting with our company on Monday but she call on Monday morning to say that a friend of hers have died and she had to give a hand the friends parents with the funeral arrangements. It be agreed that she would start Wednesday (today).

She rang this morning at in the region of 9:20 to say that she still didn't consistency that she could leave the friends parents as they be obviously upset. So she very soon will start tomorrow.

What do you think? The department is divided between saying "Rubbish!" and "Poor girl".

Have u ever missed your first three days of work and if so, be it with appropriate reason?

Answers: No route! I think she is B.S. also. If you guys are keeping her on, start hold on to tabs of her excuses very soon. I'd put it in an excel document because I'm sure near are going to be alot of them. I personally wouldnt pocket a day rotten for the first 3 months.
Funeral for a friend? no way. I would fire her.
Funeral for close household member is ok, but not freshly for a friend.
She already got 2 days stale - she should be so lucky, most people dont even attain that for a friend's funeral.
She is abusing her position.
Wow! What a wonderful excuse! But, for anyone who must work for an income, this one is lame. No, I enjoy never called contained by sick on my first day of work. I own always be fired-up at new employer. This woman has taken it to a unharmed nutha level and I wouldn't tolerate it.
Her supervisor wants to get proof of the funeral. Also, I would particularly start looking for another candidate for that position. She isn't proving any interest within her work with that company; she doesn't capture to pass "go".
She sounds similar to a bad member of staff. I never call within sick the first day at a fresh job if not it will make my investigational employer think that I am not really interested contained by the position. A friend's funeral is not a reason to miss out work. Only a domestic member died on the hours of daylight that a brand new member of staff starts working at the company should miss out work. You should fire her and tell her that you made a mistake hiring her.
I've missed the first two weeks at a chore because I got picked for jury duty. I kept surrounded by contact with the position and turned in adjectives documents.
That is inexcusable, three days is taking terrible supremacy and demonstrates an appalling lack of professionalism. She requests to be fired IMMEDIATELY. Absolutely BOGUS reasons and never for three days. When my MOTHER passed away I did not miss ONE daylight and she was my time, my world and living with me, so no, i.e. absurd and she is a fraud.
No, she's probably trying to find a better job
I'd present her the benefit of a doubt,l but this sounds like a red flag.
It is conceivable that her friend be a VERY close friend, and the parents are totally lost when it comes to handling things like this and in that is no family branch to turn to.
But I would pay VERY close attention to her adjectives attendance.VERY close!
