Answers: They are going to see from your resume that you did not come from another state. Don't do that. Tell them your current position was not stimulating enough or within was not room for adjectives growth. Make sure you don't bad mouth your errand, company, boss, etc.
Assuming you have compensated time off, it's an appointment. No obligation to specify beyond that.

I'm sorry, thought you meant you needed an excuse to jump to an interview.

I would go beside the idea that you are looking for more of a confront or that you want to go contained by a different career direction.
Don't contribute them an excuse, Tell them the Truth. Always give a full two weeks or more consideration if possible, (might as okay not burn any bridges, right?) You'll respect yourself, & they'll respect you for being a stand-up guy.

If they want to save you, they'll let you know.

How long do you drive to work?

I am just curious how long it take you to get to where on earth you work. How far are you willing to drive to turn to work? If you work at least 40 minutes from where on earth you live, is it worth it?

I might have a possible interview tomorrow next to a place that is at lowest possible 40 minutes away from where I live and it seem more of a hassle than anything because it is so far out of the way.


Answers: I drive a *minimum* of 1 hour respectively way. It have taken me up to 2.5 hours to get home on fridays. Its miserable.

I use $250 surrounded by gas a month and $60 a month in tolls. I'm currently looking for a available job closer to home, but its hard because I really similar to my job.

I'd really consider the 40 minute drive. If you really love the company/job you may be capable of stick it out for a few years, but eventually the drive is going to get to you. Trust me.
It take me 8 to 11 minutes.

I'd be willing to drive 15 mintues.
For one of my job, it takes me 20 minutes to pace to work. For another my other job, it's going on for 45 minutes as I have to correction buses. My church gig is nearly a 10-15 minute commute with the bus.

I do not hold a car nor money to afford one, so I first and foremost use the bus system or my own two feet to bring around town,

ok heres my situation, i just badger my new co-worker into unfolding me her starting wage here which is $8.00 per hour. I started at $7.50 and after covering a bunch of people's shifts and working for 1 and a half months or so get a raise to $8.00. I've in a minute been working at hand for 3 months. She says it's because she have a lot of customer service experience (she's 26) but I assume that's bull because this job doesn't pinch a lot of experience to do surrounded by the first place, it's pretty much common sense.

So adjectives in adjectives I'm pissed and wanna know what you would do?

They value me as a hand and don't have the time to lose me.


Answers: Doesn't thing the age or whatever she does. If the experience she have is more than the average person at your available job, she'll start off better.

If they really needed the help and she be a good contender then it's reasonable for them to pay her 8.00. On her application she may enjoy had 8.00 for desired wage. What did you put on your application? Probably not 8.00.
Just relay your boss you would like a review and they might consider giving you a slight lift. Customer service isn't as easy as you might front yourself to believe. Just because you found your own niche in the paddock of dealing with folks probably means you are intrinsically good at it. If they influence no, just say-so "thank you" because you won't be able to do anything around it.
If she has a college point in the assignment area, or does enjoy past experience she would start past its sell-by date making more than you, just verbs with it though since you've simply worked there 3 months if you start complaining something like pay your boss will not approaching you at all.
I ponder it would be fair to ask your boss to explain, BUT it may achieve your coworker in trouble for revealing gross... plus maybe she is not recitation the truth?

Welcome to the existing world! Just go on roughly speaking your business and pretend like you don't know, and if you do know, ot doesn't bother you and chuckle at the idiocy of management! Its resembling that everywhere!
If she has to work at an $8.00/hr undertaking at 26.she deserves the additional .50.

They may significance you as an employee, but not a soul is irreplacable.and at an $8.00/hr job.I doubt it would be sturdy to find someone with your skills to do your mission...
Give it up and focus on your work. Someone having relevant experience is a worthy reason to start her out at a somewhat better rate.

And if you push this, you just might find yourself written up or fired for any 1) creating a hostile workplace by "badgering" your coworker about her clear or 2) spending too much time worrying about what other individuals are being remunerated and not enough focusing on your work.

Okay. Here's the thing.

If you honestly suppose you deserve a raise, consequently make a satchel for it. One way is to find someone else of a mind to pay you more. But don't progress to your manager and complain something like someone else's pay -- it have little or nothing to do next to you and, honestly, is none of your business (in their mind.)

I would say set up a round-table and make a positive bag about why you deserve more or prepare to vacate the premises. But pay attention about bluffing -- they may telephone call you on it.
Why this is any of your concern is beyond me.

Even if the job itself take little experience the fact she have a lot of experience allows her to command more. It's not other fair but it's life span. You can either agreement with it close to an adult or sit in attendance and throw a tantrum. And believe me, with job as low-paying as yours they CAN afford to lose you. Trust me, you're not that valuable.

And for the idiot who said a 26-year-old making $8 an hour is overindulgent, I have to wonder what you're making along next to your education, experience, and age. In some areas of this country (Las Vegas is a apposite example) wages are well below what they should be.
I can sympathise, bu in that are reasons why you're supposed to preserve salary details confidential, and you've purely found out why!

If she is 26 and is earning 8 dollars an hour, this is roughly 4 pounds in the UK - smaller amount than minimum wage!

So, if it were me - I'd sit down next to my boss and ask for a raise. If they weren't within a position to offer it, I'd confer on and get a better compensated job!

However, you will have need of to apporach this carefully - it's probably written within your contract that you're not allowed to bargain about wages (what your colleagues earn is not really any of your business, only just like it's none of theirs what you earn!). You necessitate to justify to your examiner why you deserve more - "she earns alike as me, but I've been here longer" is not a moral enough answer.

to the poster above you can hold all the experience within the world but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pinch a low paying job since the discount is suffering.. now to answer your grill.. the girl probably negotiated her wages near her customer service experience... and for the record you may be a valued member of staff but it doesnt matter where on earth you are... your job is ALWAYS replaceable/// my suggestion is it is best to start looking for another assignment... and the best time to look for another job is when you already own one

The first problem is that you badger your new co-worker to communicate you what she is making. Realize that she could go to HR in a minute and file a complaint against you for that. It's not ok to "force" someone to narrate you what they are making, and really it's not ok to push her on it.

Second of all, she may be recounting you the truth about her prevous experience, and yes, that would be a principle for her to start at a higher rate. We do this at my company adjectives the time. People with previous work experience within our industry and education will start out at a high rate than those who do not have it.
