I went to apply at a restaurant a few weeks ago and i put down i looked-for a Prep cook (easy job!) and that waitressing be optinal. The interview went great but bc i looked-for to be honest w/the manager i told him i wouldnt adopt the position right away since i wanted to choose the best mission offer. He said to give the name him by the end of the week to agree to him know. Ok! So i called him on Friday & Saturday...no answer.gone messages. He finally calls me yesterday and i relate him yes and hes like economically let's talk tomorrow. Today, at 11am he call and tells me that the prep cook position isnt available anymore but waitressing is unfold. However the hours would conflict with my other brief. I called him at 6pm since he needed an answer and told him that if a prep cook position became unscrew to let me know. Was it wrong of me to hold holded off that position for a better profession offer? Was he unprofessional by not keeping that position for me until i call him to say yes or no and afterwards give it to someone else?
