Lost my job on Friday. Looking for another livelihood but would love to work at home. Looking for something.1. No affiliate marketing. Need something proven and consistent.
2. No pyramid schemes.
3. No Project Payday. Not consistent and don't strictness to give my credit card and address to millions of trial sites.
4. Pay to type, surveys, blog. not proven and not plenty pay.
5. No scam. I've done enough research on scam and know when I see one.

When in nursing school, you need to keep a very open mind and think of patients as people, not diseases or tests to be completed. This helps young nurses to develop empathy and remember the holistic aspects of medicine.
For example, when a patient has chronic lung disease, it isn't just about shortness of breath, aerosol treatments, and oxygen. Think about what that person does/ did for a living. What hobbies have they had to give up or modify due to the illness? Is the patient feeling hopeless or worthless because of the difficulty or inability to complete daily tasks? Is there a significant other at home? children? Support? Faith?
Remember that patients may need help with more than just the primary diagnosis for admission.
Functioning on my own and making critical decisions without having someone tell me what to do every step of the way. And then, knowing when to work as a member of a team, and when to make those decisions on my own. As a student, you are used to having instructors tell you what to do, and you get used to getting the "ok" before you can do anything. Suddenly, as an RN, you are the one answering those questions from patients, families and doctors- It's quite a change really. It took a while.
