Where can i work leisure?
I'm a university student in BC CANADA but want to work unpaid on weekends.a place where:
1. associates working there are as older as me or younger (<20)
2. most of them are girls (Unlike my classes where 80% are man)
3. i can work with the sole purpose on weekends
4. get $9999.99 pay a month, if possible
i used to work contained by McDonald. I probably won't try it again!

Anybody else puts career over getting married and having kids?
Answers: I got married right out of high school. It doesn't mean that you can never go to school and get a collage degree. I am going to school right now. Its better to wait until after you finish to have children simply because you would be able to support them and give then what they need much easier. The important thing is that you do whats right for you. This day in age its always safe to have some sort of backup plan financially but I know a lot of couples that still do it the old fashioned way, wife stays home and takes care of the children and the house. Most of them have completed some sort of collage education. I live the military life among many women. The Navy pays for medical, for housing, and in most cases will put you through school. A lot of the wives don't need to work.

Ive always wanted to be a mom and wife so marriage and kids are my carreer, but you wanted to do something that is going to require alot of college time I would suggest waiting on the family thing.

not me, but that is just my personal choice. i asked myself, what is going to make a difference in this world? what can i do? my answer is have kids and raise them well, money isn't that important to me. my husband makes enough for us to live comfortably and stay home with the kids, and i am happy with that. but like i said, it is a personal choice and if you are not at the point in life where you are ready to settle down and have no free time and be responsible for other people, it is not the least bit selfish of you to focus on your career. in fact, when you do settle down, then it will make your family more stable.
yeah defo. i wanna be a doctor and i wanna finish becoming a doctor first. then when im about 26 i will get married than i will have kids at about 30. i wanna build up a decent career so my kids will have a better life otherwise if i have kids before then i will be too busy to spend time with them.
No but it's important. It was hard to find the right man because career seemed to matter more, which I understand but. Career is a means to an end. Family is so much more.
I'm going to wait until I am making enough money and pretty much happy in the job that I have before I even start THINKING about kids.
what you need is an understanding wife who will take care of things at home so you can have a career and take care of her and the kids financially. thats how my husband and I are about things and we still manage to spend time together.
First things first. Many have married first and then studied but it is a very difficult thing to do. You have to think about the economic problems you may encounter which may affect the well being of your children, when they are born and your wife. You may be taking the risk of living a very low quality of life in the long term.

If between the ages of 45 - 55 have you found it difficult to estate a job? General Example, an administrative role, you enjoy 20 years experience, accept the earnings, are enthusiastic but never get invited to an interview? Or have it been the contrasting for you?I'm a sideline freelancer writing an article (am working fulltime, want to change job but feel the rejection post are to do with my age - unsettled 40's. Answers: OK, I'm sure people can put two and two together by looking at your resume, but seldom (in my experience) have I found possible employer actually calculating years to determine how hoary an applicant is.
I'm more inclined to believe that given your experience (you said you have 20 years), the potential employer may feel that you will want too much money. The other problem may be that you are any overqualifed for the jobs.
I am 48 and find that my experience and age enjoy not been the problem. My resume is noticeable (so I've been told) and populace just assume that they will hold to pay me too much (and they are probably right).
Keep trying. Eventually, in attendance will be a company out there who not individual values the experience you can bring to the job but may also be capable of pay you what you are worth. In the meantime, preserve doing what you are doing.

hit the fastener on the head there--age.Ive have the same problem on several occasion.The last interview i attended be conducted by a young 24yr infirm manager and im sure he feel threatened because of my age (50) and that i may well enjoy had more experience than he have.To have an below manager twice your age is going to trademark him think twice even if you are the right contestant.
I'm a recruiter and I have to confess that I unambiguously do discriminate based on age. There's a few reason for this.
Firstly, you need to know how to fit into the company's existing culture. In my workplace, everyone is aged under 40, next to most people between 25 and 35. An elder person would be perceived as one less possible to fit in beside the current team than a younger personage. If you didn't fit in, you'd wind up up choosing to look for a new commission within a minute.
Secondly, it would be likely that you would require a high salary than a younger being. I often conscript at very senior level, and for those people, we might to some extent have someone next to fantastic experience even if it means paying a bit more. But, you utter that you're looking for admin roles. With admin, you could do the job newly as well near two years experience as you could with 20 years experience. In reality, I'd be inclined to hire a receptionist near no experience whatsoever.
I think as capably that older family are just perceived as person less animated, less possible to pick up new skills, and probably have more commitments (such as a family) that might interfere next to work.
I'd just approaching to respond to Michelle A who said that employers can't give an account from your CV how old you are. Of course they can let somebody know approximately, even if you didn't put your date of birth on it. As an example, an employer would look at my CV and see that I graduated from university within 1999, and would assume that I'd probably be about 30 - I'm in reality 28, but close enough. It's these date that provide indicators about approximately how ripened you are. If you're not putting these dates on, later the problem lies with the certainty that you're submitting an incomplete CV, not that you're being discriminated upon base on your age.
Edit: Dear Briz, I am well aware that "admin" does surrounded by fact cover a widespread variety of roles. As a former administrator myself, I am resourcefully aware of exactly what skills are required to do many different job. I said that I would hire a *receptionist* with no experience - I know that for a position such as an Executive Secretary it would be preferable to enjoy someone with a amount of experience. In fact by arguing this point, you're clearly the one beside the problem - how is anyone ever supposed to get a first living if you think that it's basic to have several years' experience only just to be a receptionist? I know that it's necessary to know how to use software packages, but you don't need 20 years experience! In reality, I don't think Microsoft Office be even invented 20 years ago. There are new version coming out all the time - Office 2007 is hugely different from the previous reworked copy - and it's necessary to hire individuals that can pick up new technology quickly and efficiently, not *necessarily* someone that's been doing indistinguishable thing for 20 years (not that the two things are mutually exclusive). Also, you can phone up me pea-brained and whatever adjectives you like, but I used to work for a Big Four accounting firm and I can recount you that every single one of their team secretaries are hired straight out of book-keeping college, meaning that they enjoy no actual work experience at all. And how can Mayfast sue me for vilification when I have not made one single comment in the order of her *personally*? I'd like to regard as that your angry little post was prompted because you too be aware of that you're a victim of age nouns, but the reality is that if you are powerless to find work, it's more likely to be because your language rules is so poor and you struggle to form coherent sentences than anything to do with your age.

IF you would employ an unexperienced soul to know Excel, Databases, Microsoft and various other at a large level (not neophyte or intermediate) deal near all behaviour of clients and calls and yes, bring experience to an admin role - you are afterwards, well perchance pea brain was man complimentary.
