I would say turn ahead with the PhD program if you enjoy the time and money. If nothing else you will be more desireable to university looking for professors but I wouldnt say that you will produce a lot more money. I own dual masters and decided against a PhD because I have no desire to teach

My husband is a rad tech and as long as you appropriate the proper precautions then no you are not at a high risk for radiation exposure.
