How do you procure a living similar to the folks on "To Catch a Predator"?
I was wondering how you would get hold of a job going into chat rooms and posing as teenagers? I deem that would be a pretty neat career. Taking sick pedophiles off of the streets! Does anyone know how much the pay cheque would be?Answers: The name of the group is call Preverted Justice. I would suggest googling that, which will take you to their webpage. Hopefully they own a link for applying, if, email them and ask how you can be apart of this awesome and much needed job!
Call up Chris Hansen near Dateline NBC.
What sounds better: lead paralegal or senior paralegal?
Answers: Senior paralegal. Sounds more professional.
I happen to prefer senior paralegal - which is my title! ;)
I think "lead paralegal" would be a better title for a particular project leader.
To a prospective employer, I think Lead Paralegal implies that you supervised other paralegals. Senior Paralegal implies that you are very experienced. Of course, your actual description of the position will be more important than the title.
As an attorney who is fortunate to work with some outstanding paralegals, I personally prefer Patron Saint of Harried Attorneys or God(dess) of Details or something along those lines. Smile.
I estimate I a short time ago found my dream duty, but how can I apply when it's next to a client of my current company?
I really love my current job and hold a lot of fun next to it. After months of hard work, I'm finally bringing contained by a huge local company as a new client. It basically so happens that today I found out that this strange client has a position opening that could potentially be my dream opening. In fact, I've be looking for a job resembling this for years but I never got especially far because I never had adequate experience. Now, I have years of experience that I imagine would be perfect! Because I only formed this new relationship beside them as a client, it would be very unprofessional of me to ask around this job pipe. Plus, I'm afraid that they would take their business away from my current company. It's such a great opportunity though!! I'm so confused.. Is in attendance a good style to handle this short making myself look unprofessional? What should I do? Could I call my contact at the client's company and in recent times be upfront with them something like the position opening? OY! Advice, please!Answers: ably, this IS a tough one.think of it a few different ways.you could apply- and only just go forth short trying to "grease the wheel"...you could speak "off the record" beside the clients (but that truly depends upon your relationship with them- if it's friendly I say aloud go ahead- if it is more professional- finishing name argument, etc- I wouldn't)...
Your best bet would be to speak frankly- describe as you have here- "this is my dream assignment!!"...be careful not to speak negatively something like your current position, and be prepared with why the spanking new job is something you are so interested within doing compared to the old one.
Good luck!
Just dispense them a hypothetical story.
What if "someone" in my company, who newly brought a large client to the firm, saw that nearby was a possible dream available job open contained by the client company? Would the client abandon my company? Would it be unprincipled to jump ship and apply for a position within the client company? If an application is made, can it be kept uber-quiet so that that "someone" doesn't lose her job when her company hear that she's applying for other jobs?
That's the best I can do. I know it's really knotty. If the client has signed a contract, they hold to stay with your current company. I believe the client company would be thrilled to have you, since you've worked tirelessly on their behalf.
In the expiration, though, honey, do what's best for you. Companies don't make decision based on from the heart attachments or even professional accomplishments. They lay off out-of-date and young contained by the blink of an eye. You've got to budge where the earnings is good and the undertaking is fun. And, if after a few months you're not happy beside client company, send out feeler to your old company. Who know? They may offer you incentives to move spinal column...
