Continuing College? Medical Assistant to Nursing School?
I was 18 years weak at the time when I decided to progress to college to become a Medical Assistant. I became a Medical Assistant and get a part time charge as a secratery in the Radiology Department at my local Hospital. After I finished the Medical Assistant program, I fixed to further my education to become a Nurse and catch my BSN degree-Bachelors In Science of Nursing. I haven't started nursing school all the same because I am still finishing my Pre requistaes for nursing. Do you think that I made a fruitless choice of becoming a Medical Assistant first then wanting to become a RN Nurse? I did embezzle small break about three months since I started my pre requisates for nursing. Does anybody think it be a bad finding that I went right into starting my pre requistaes for nursing right after I become a Medical Assistant? I felt it is the right entity to do. I really wanted to become a nurse and a Medical Assistant. I integer that the education I own as a Medical Assistant I could use as a Nurse?Answers: There is an old adage, that - No instruction is wasted. Everyone on here will own an opinion as to whether you made a suitable or bad choice. The truth is, everyone must engender the choices which are correct for their life at the time.
Given that, very soon you have the information to work as an MA. This have very little application to working as an RN, as MAs and RNs execute completely different jobs, next to some overlapping health precision skills which are common to adjectives health carefulness occupations.
Whether or not your nurture and experience as an MA helps you as an RN is really dependent on how you use the knowhow you have. An RN within an Emergency Department Trauma setting will probably never use anything learned as an MA which is not repeated contained by the RN program. In that line it may be easier for that one class, but the long residence benefit would be minimal. An RN who works in an ambulatory department setting would, however, often use the MA skills.

I think you hold made a good choice. You can work as a Medical Assistant while you are within nursing school. You will bring good experience and clothed pay. Plus, if nursing academy doesn't work out, you will have something to leak back on.

it depends A LOT on the part of the country you live in, and the type of hospital you work at (union, vs. non-union). From reading answers on these boards, I can tell you the countrywide average if anywhere from 40,000, up to around 90,000 based on what nurses at my hospital make (90,000) combined with about what I've seen from reading these questions regarding salary.
usually, pediatric nurses don't make more than med/surg nurses or er nurses; unless you hold some sort of specialty certification for working in pediatrics---and even then it depends on the hospital.

ok so i applied for a job at circuit city..and immediately i got an interview..and yea this is my first ever interview and close to i have no clue wat to expect so if any1 here know a thing or 2 around interviews please give me guidance...(o and i applied to be an sales asscocitate or w/e lol)Answers: ok i can clutch you through the whole article.
1. shake hands. smile the complete time. wear a suit. i know its circut city but empolyers love that.
2. explain to him that you are a motivated person, and speaker. amazingly goal orient.
3. tell them that you are the peorson for the opportunity because you will work harder than any other person he tries to bring within.
4. be VERY confident. explain that you will be an asset to the company. remain firm.
5. sit straight and use yes sir, no sirs.
6. after, thank him/her for taking the time out of their schedule to interview you.
