Careers Employment Questions and Answers

If my company doesn't collect on my sale, and they enjoy already salaried me commission. Am I responsible?

In other words, If I have be paid on directives entered, but the company cannot receive a customer to pay. Am I responsible for paying the company backbone, or is it their problem.

Answers: To answer this we have to look at your contract of employment. If you undertake this risk, you are on the hook for it. Otherwise it would be the credit manager of the employer who granted to take the risk, and exposed the company to that risk.

If you, sale person, are also acting as credit director, you have incurred the risk. But unless you enjoy explicitly undertaken the risk, the company holds it.

Now otherwise, an employer might bill you for the loss, and try to get you to reward it as a condition of continuing your employment. This might serve to teach you to be more prudent surrounded by future. Can they win it from you if you resign? No, unless you assumed the risk by contract.

They may retain all yield you ever made on that account. In effect, adjectives your earnings from an description ARE conditional on the account paying.
That depends upon your contract.

Most companies will dock the commission if your customers doesn't compensate. Your customer, your responsibility.

What is your guidance for a mother reentering the officially recognized grazing land?

I have a dear friend who chose to give notice the workforce ten years ago in directive to stay home and raise her four children.

When she disappeared, she was on partner-track at a influential firm, with seven years of litigation experience and an excellent and daunting record. Her degree are from Ivy League schools.

During days gone by decade, she has held a quantity of leadership positions surrounded by the community, accomplishing seriously as a volunteer. She's very personable, likable, and people-smart.

Now that her children are adjectives in elementary university, she would like to return to the practice of ruling.

However, she has encounter a surprising lack of interest. Potential employer and recruiters told her explicitly that it is very difficult to reenter the pen, and they "just don't fiddle with that" situation.

I know her well, and can't suppose a firm that wouldn't be better off next to her than without her.

Have you have a similar experience? How were you successful reentering decree?

Thank you!

Now I own two toddlers(age 3 and 2) and am staying home until they start school. By consequently, I will be finished with conservatory and ready to pursue a court career. *sigh* I hope things work out for your friend...it's so difficult sometimes to harmonize your career next to being Mommy...
No I haven't have this experience before, but if I may express how I would touch such a situation.

She's had a great job, left to focus on her biggest investment that she'll ever sort in her enthusiasm, her kids, hands down a no brainer this human being has their priorities set right.

Now they've have a lot of ethnic group experience and gained the ease that comes with it as economically as getting out of the field for a while which get a person to lose a few skills and forget seriously of bits that can possibly be of help to a legal representative.. or not.

Might it be smart to reposition herself, didn't quite pickup contained by which particular nouns of law she's specialized surrounded by, so that it would leverage her experience in raise the kids? Perhaps a divorce lawyer, custody of kids and these broad areas.. her off-time might then be looked at as a required asset, and the keyword is 'might'.

She should preserve trying and not give up because of the firms she targeted weren't approachable or saw value or are not surrounded by the area she can show strength and culture beyond that of those lacking the experience she have. Sort of like be there, done that and get the tshirt.
Well, No I haven't been through such an experience on the other hand. But I would like to express my thoughts.

I believe she should reenter beside full confidence. All these years she has well-educated various aspects of natural life, unconsciously, which also counts alot in the practical pasture.

Those who are saying that its not so straightforward to reenter the field, I believe they are trying to misguide her. There is nil impossible in this world. She should be cheerful.

She has her own ID and she can mark her as a very well trained, experienced and organized working woman who is now a mother. This will def. mark off good on her permit.

I believe she should not be bothered about the exotic era or thinking or strategies. She should have confidence surrounded by her and step ahead. Atleast she should try so that no regrets remains in her time. You can encourage her on this, :)~!
The adjectives theme I see here, among 4 excellent answers, is to budge to work for the government at a lower remuneration than she might otherwise command, and this will be very adjectives for her as she continues her career---one of the primary benefits of learning unsophisticated forensics, is learning what the "other side" is doing, how they think---and working for Uncle Sam is an excellent route to learn roughly how the "other side" functions...it's fairly unproblematic to get into, and once she have spent a couple of years learning the ropes she will be capable of circulate her resume with greater nouns...the world is run by men, and we are pigs, but there is no opening to avoid the suspicion that she will encounter---"When we hire her, is she just going to stir have more kids and give notice again?" The government is not permitted to do this---so, she should just follow the genuineness of the situation and take a lower-paying livelihood in a DA bureau for a year or two.

Is it annoying for an applicant to Email & Mail a resume and apply on the company's website?

Do HR dept.'s usually hate it when we apply contained by all possible ways?

Answers: No it will only just show your interest in the available job for instance. Although I would call and see if they adopt both first before doing and advise them that this would be what I'm doing and see what they tell you. You don't enjoy tell your autograph just ask and if they say aloud there is no stipulation or no are act unusual then they want know its you.
