Museum post within Chicago?
I'll be finished with my Masters surrounded by History with a Museum Studies Certificate contained by May and I'm looking for a job within Chicago. I have volunteer experience, customer service experience and tons of experience as an intern within various museum capaticites. I am most interested contained by education. Any facilitate?Answers: I found it's hard to catch into a museum job minus an "in". I went to one of the bigger museums surrounded by the area after I graduate and asked to do an internship with the instruction department (even though I didn't need the credit or anything). After that, I get to know some of the people who worked surrounded by the industry and they offered to give me recommendation. They also were nice and give me heads up at other museums that be hiring. Also, many associates who work in museums own worked at other museums over the course of their career and own connections in those museums and they can backing you get an contained by (or tell you that you don't want to clutch a job nearby.)
Prior to taking the internship I applied for several museums and heard zilch back. It be only after I be doing my "internship" that I started to get interviews.
In the run out I ended my internship after awhile because I couldn't afford to work for free and have to pay the bills.
Hope that help.
Could someone report me how I step in the order of getting my valid estate license?
I am very interested within becoming a real estate agent and/or appraiser. What is the best road to go nearly doing this? I am already a licensed insurance agent, and am looking to try something new. I don't know if I should try to obtain a jod and a real estate company prior to self licensed and they help me seize licensed or if I have to be licensed prior. Please abet. Thank you.Answers: You'll need to nick the real estate exam. You can buy the book at a bookstore or online and study on your own, or you can steal a night class for a few sessions (weeks? can't remember) and afterwards take the question paper. You do need to be licensed though.
I've get to wonder why you want to do this now, within today's shotty housing market. Real estate agents adjectives over the country are looking for different jobs because they can't flog barely any houses right immediately. Do you know something they don't? I would definitely meditate some more about this and speak to some professionals within the area almost how they're fairing with the marketplace as it is!
Check with the Realtor's around licensed schools. There, you will find out when the subsequent test will be given. It is usually contained by the State Capitol.
