Medical transcription. Just make sure you don't mind setting aside a certain number of hours to sit at the computer typing away.
Some websites that do medical transcription training provide job placement afterwards and you can immediately start working at home. A good website to find that is

How Long Does This Take?

I had an interview at a retail store for a leisure job closing Thursday. How long does it take to them to hail as you after an interview to get hired?

Answers: usually between 48 hours and 4 days

Why a healthcare provider would want to store patient medical records electronically ?

Answers: EMR (electronic medical record) is being mandated federally so there really is no choice. This is to 1. speed up and standardize medicare/insurance billing, 2. cut down on errors 3. facilitate record sharing between providers 4. HIPPA.
Practically, record storage is an astronomical feat (records must be kept for up to 18 years for a minor). EMR allows vast amounts of data to be stored on large discs and you have instant retrieval (unlike stored records). Where I used it this summer, I had an entire chart with aftercare instructions and a prescription done before I left the patient's room.
I currently work in a medical practice, and a I can say there is no law that you must have it. However, it would make my life a lot easier. Every time a patient comes in, instead of looking for files and charts, all you have to do is type the last name and all the information is right there in front of you.

It could be so frustrating making copies of forms, attaching, paper clips, staples, and so on. On a good system, all you would have to so is add a few notes and its done. Click save. I mean, we are all sitting in front of computers anyway, and if there is a computer glitch, it makes that day difficult anyway. Of course you would have to backup the server every night, but I already do that anyway.

With a good system there is no reason that technology can't make our lives a little easier so that we can attend to the patients properly without worrying about paper work and forms.
