Am I eligible for EI if I quit my post to move to another province?

I am quitting my job and relocating to BC, but do not own a job wrinkled up in BC. Can I collect Employment Insurance until I procure a new mission?

Answers: That is something very knotty to answer without knowing the entire situation.

On the surface, quitting a chore for family reason "can" be what EI calls "in recent times cause". They will ask you many things, approaching what steps you have done to find a brief in BC in the past you quit your other one

The link I give is from Service Canada. There are 40 most common "a short time ago causes" for quitting your job, and this is what they voice for your situation:
Reason No. 37: Work Away from Family–After a Reasonable Period of Absence
Raison d'être:
recognizes the right of a couple or domestic to live under alike roof;
encourage working contained by far away or isolated locations without mortal denied benefits;
Reference:
EIA 29(c)(ii);
Reasonable Alternative:
seek closer spanking new employment before quitting;
Just Cause:
have accepted to work far away where on earth there be no possibility to move the claimant's family and a believable period have already lapsed;
had agreed to work far away in the hope to move the claimant's nearest and dearest later, which after some time have proven to be impractical;
distance is too great for each day or periodic travel;
after a time of year of time employment did not materialize, or it was out of the question to search for employment because of the distance.

Your best bet is to apply for EI and see what they articulate. Remember, if they decide inititally to not give in you EI, you CAN appeal it and search the jurisprudence library to see other cases approaching your's.
Touchy situation! Try talking near them first. I would suggest that if you are moving from a high severance situation like Newfoundland to a place next to a shortage of workers, like solid areas of BC, and Alberta you may have coverage--especially if your post was impermanent.

My work rota have changed since i be later at work. what should i do?

the rota went up impulsive last week.
i have monday and tuesday off.
i have asked for thursday off as a holiday (me and my fella are inquiring 4 a flat) but even tho before the rota go up the boss said fine he must of forgot.

anyway i had a word sunday near him and he said i could have thursday past its sell-by date as a holiday and all my shift would stay like.

i left work on sunday darkness ready 4 my 2days rotten. i got a appointment 2nite at 6 from the assistant manager asking where on earth i was... "i said at home cooking tea. why?" he said i should of be in at 5...so i said "in good health no1 told me when i left on sunday i have monday n tuesday off".

then at 7:20 i get a text rotten him saying im at work at 12 2moro. but i the hours own changed. im now working 12-11...instead of 5-11.

what the hell is going on. the assistant director says i enjoy to talk to the head 2moro...

is this ok for them to tell me at such short interest? why wouldnt they tell me going on for the shift i should of been on today?

Answers: Unfortunately, there's in reality no set rule about how much spot they have to supply you of what shifts you are working. I know because my old employer used to put up the rota the year before it started, so not simply did we have no discern, but if you weren't working that day you have to make a special trip contained by to see it.

Since you have to see the Manager, I would rob the opportunity to raise the following points:
- You asked for a day's holiday but your request be forgotten. Why isn't there a proper system for tracking holiday? Why isn't at hand a form that you fill out to request holiday, so that when the Manager is compiling the rota he can look at any forms to see who requested which days bad.
- Your rota was changed so that you weren't aware that you be supposed to be at work on Tuesday. How were you supposed to know almost the change when you hadn't be in on Monday to see it? Does the Assistant Manager really enjoy time to spare chasing up staff who aren't at work? Can they afford to be without you when you are rostered on?
- Your hours for your shift on the following daytime were changed and next communicated to you by text. They should enjoy spoken to you to confirm that you had received the message. They shouldn't own just assumed that you be free to work those hours at such short notice - you should own been asked, not told.

It in recent times sounds to me like they are fundamentally disorganised. I would go speak to the Manager, and undoubtedly remain calm and polite and don't go and get into an argument, but definitely be paid the point that none of these problems are your fault, and if they be a little more organised and treated their staff for a moment better then at hand wouldn't have be any problems.
Ah the beauty of food..
If the scheduling at your place is inconsistent, and it does seem to be that way from your description, in attendance is only one piece to do, start looking for another job.
Once you find one, make available notice and verbs.
When they start screwing near your hours it's time to go.
And yes, they can conversion your hours at short notice.
It's not awfully professional but most places will do it anyway.
thats not fair at adjectives! they should normally make available you 24hours notice i muse! it depends on the company. But if youre not there that specific shift and they change your hours they should notify you. this is a breakdown on there member and they should be the ones feeling guilty... not you! x
