Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Can a adjectives employer contact your current employer, even though you did not checked the YES /NO box?

My future employer have me fill out an application, I did not checked the box where on earth it ask is it ok to contact your employer? yes/no. Since I didnt checked anything, is it still legal to contact them? I would meditate they needed to contact me requesting permission to do so.
Now I am at the risk of loosing my principal income job, and lost the opportunity of making extra needed money

Answers: Why didn't you check the box.you winnie.
Why didn't you check the box?!! Any time you swarm out an application for a job you should swarm out every line even if you own to write "N/A" on some sections.

But to answer your grill, you might have a luggage for yourself, but you did choose not to ask them to refrian from calling your current employer... even though they asked. not good.

sorry that happen to you, that really sucks.
They may call to verify employment, but they can't ask if you be a good hand or bad. That is against the statute. If they don't hire you, it will be because you didn't qualify, not because you didn't check off an answer.

Interviews expected to "rattle" the interviewee...what's this adjectives roughly?

Yesterday, I interviewed with the VP of a company. It be my 4th interview. He was tough. He intentionally tried to chew me up and spit me out. He ripped apart my resume and made false accusation of failure and indecision. he even made up a few things, resembling that I hadn't completed a task at a former errand...a task that be very successful! I held my ground and tried to put a positive spin on everything. Most of what he said be false.

Afterwards, a manager told me he's basically like that...to see what I'm made of. She said she have had ancestors cry, cuss him out, walk out, decline offer of employment, sweat visibly, ask for water... she assured me I did very well.

I have trained to interview population, and it's been years since I've be on the interviewee side. I have never hear or seen this "technique."

Can anyone provide feedback on this? This be the Vice President of the company, not some uninformed newbie. clearly, he had a strategy. I'm a bit confused.

Answers: This guy you met up beside is crude and boorish-but was trying to find information rapidly regardless of delicate sensibilities. His agenda may enjoy been trying to proficiently find answers to his questions or how you'd button the stress and your reactions to it..But he's not exactly who I'd trust or want to work for--he told you VOLUMES of his business work nouns, and what he'd stoop to, to do it. He sounds like a guy who take way too much pleasure surrounded by his technique-and has no qualms in the order of treating others badly. I wouldn't want to work for him-his nouns are not sound would Iexpect to eventually be ripped past its sell-by date in some channel by him-or have some other department abuse by him..This guy have a proven track record of impossible & manipulative behavior..It also sounds like he doesn't WANT anyone to find that job.

Being surrounded by this business-and having interviewed general public before yourself-he could be insecure and threatened by you
I'd ask question..maybe even the Better Business Bureau would own ideas of directions for you.Ultimately you opt how far you want to take it.

He may not be what the business you are at have in mind to represent them on any rank...but it sounds like this guy get his job by intimidating relations.. perhaps that's how he GOT his situation of VP...

Then again..Maybe he had a 3 martini lunch.,,or a migraine. It'd be interesting to ask questions--and I don`t know even see a government agency that protects empolyee's from business practices close to that. Sounds shady and sleazy.

There are those in energy who like using their exhalted status to push citizens around--ask any waitress--they know for a fact some customers munch through in restaurants in recent times so they can push someone who's job status(they think) is lower than their own-like the waitress..But it's because they are insecure and obligation to feel colonial...They know they really are undeserving of one where they are-and try to "rattle" nation before anyone notice. If your throw people rotten soundly enough-maybe no one will observe your lack of flair...The old "well brought-up offense is the best defense" theory..

And it worked-didn't it...What are you going to do roughly speaking it?
I've been on interviews similar to that. it is usually an indication of the type of managment style that person will hold if you end up working in that. A lot of business leaders like to rule similar to tyrants, bashing empire and tearing them down, surrounded by the belief that it will make them work harder and produce more.

Maybe it works for some family. You have to prefer if that is the benign of environment in which you want to work.
I work surrounded by HR and I have to vote that I don't agree with this technique. First of adjectives, interviews are considered the least powerful form of selection. Weird huh? But they're the most popular form of test. So for him to be a total douche bag during the interview doesn't really breed any sense. It might give him an hypothesis of who can best put up with ****, but if that's the most far-reaching part of the post. do you really want to work there? I would consider keeping your option open.

I stipulation guidance please?

I am pursuing a career surrounded by the fahion industry. I love fashion, enjoy a great fashion sense and it is my feeling, but I know when I go to an interview I will be asked what skills I bring to the table. Any concept or thoughts as to what I can say or how do I budge about this?? Thanks

Answers: I'm not within the fashion industry, but it seem to me that you would take sample of your work to show them what you can do - sketches or actual fashions that you enjoy designed.
Well perhaps you simply take a class for a while and work at a fashinoble store and some other stuff consequently when u are interviewed tell of these experinces
