What responsibility do I own to my present employer when I enjoy an interview programmed?
I was given a ring to interview for a new position. Is it roughly advised to notify my current employer of this, or should I skulk and see how the interview goes? Also, I'd picture if they got a send for asking about me out of the blue it wouldn't cart well, although if I wouldn't achieve the position, I do not want to damage my relationship near my employer. I do not have a clause surrounded by my contract that I must notify them of an interview like my previous employment did. What is my obligation and when should I notify them?Answers: I wouldn't put in the picture them about it. Tell them you enjoy an appointment and leave it at that. But if its gonna hurt your work now be sure to put do not contact present employer on your application and explain why during the interview. Good Luck!
you own no obligation to inform your current employer. you don't even HAVE to administer the customary 2 week notice if you catch the job you are seeking. That anyone said, it is never good to "burn bridges" so mortal as professional as possible is always advisable.
I would not explain to them about the interveiw, because who know if you will get it, and it will lay waste to your current work relationship they find out. Honestly though how will they find out? just brand name sure you schedual the interview on your own time, like a lunch break, or transport a personal/sick day the daylight of the interview, if it goes all right, inform your current job that a different opportunity has made itself available to you. In form them of what they are offering, endow with them a chance to contest it, if they do not, give them your 2 week and thank them for the opportunity to work at thier company.
At this point, I would not inform your present employer until you hold an acceptable donate from a new company. Some employer are very agreeable to their employee's pursuing another craft but most are not.
The risk at this point is too great, so sit tight and see if an offer follows.
Good Luck
