Careers Employment Questions and Answers

I really don’t want to be at work today, should I throw the fire alarm?

Answers: Only if you can do it without getting caught. Otherwise, you can do something more entertaining with your time, like make out with that co-worker that was hitting on you awhile ago.
A building evacuation does not justify leaving the premises without explicit permission. It could be interpreted as the abandonment of your position. Perhaps you should think more about re-creation instead of recreation. Good Luck.

Is it possible not to go and get hired because...Serious Answers please?

Is it possible to not get hired if you applied for a assignment in equal department that your childs grandmother is also an employee at? I suggest his grandmother and I are not related but do you think that will be held against me? I used to be a temp at this company and it be not a problem, but now that I want to catch hired and everyone knows that she is my son's grandmother I don't know if that will be held against me. What do you have an idea that?

Answers: It is really up to the company to decide their policy on hiring family unit members. If it is possible for any of you to come up for a promotion over the other, the company is within their rights not to hire you on the starting place of family relations.
a possibility exists that line members not work surrounded by the same department, especially if one is a supervisor or long time hand. the term used is nepotism. it is also possible that company policy might state that people members, irrespective of the relationship not work within the same department. when you be a temporary it be ok, but as a full time employee, check out the personnel brochure or ask about it. Good Luck.

Job Interview?

Hello
My friend has a opportunity interview in which she have to train and educate the troop on something. The position is for computer training within a hospital and they want to assess her training resources.Anyone have any pious ideas?

Answers: Firstly, your friend wishes to read the information she has be given - very with care. It should give details as to how long she will be given and nearby may be topics to choose from. Does it include information relating to how she has to present the information?

secondly, your friend requests to know what resources are available for her use (see below).

Assuming she can decide what to train and instruct people on and that she can kind her own decisions on the subject of how to train people, I ruminate she could do something on these lines.

Topic - obviously if she is applying for a post training staff on computers she have to choose a topic related to computer training. She could train the interview panel on an aspect of a popular package similar to word (e.g. mail-merge), databases (how to set up a database and enter information, reports etc), excel (how to do graphs). If they already know the topic they will still be assessing her training skills.

Secondly, she has to use a catalogue of techniques to acquire the information across. She could use:

A PowerPoint presentation (she needs to check to see if a computer, projector and blind will be available).

Acetates and an over head projector (if available)

Whiteboard/large sheets of article to write/draw.

Handouts - make sure in attendance are enough to step round everyone.

She could present information verbally and visually, get hold of people involved by asking them question throughout, carrying out small tasks, giving them a quiz at the end etc.

I'm sure that if she have already done some training or presentations she will be half method there already. A few reflective breaths to control the nerves and once she starts she'll be fine.

Wish her luck from me!
She needs to pick up a topic which she is tremendously interested in and show them exactly what she can do. She requirements to explain, ask questions of the trainee, and retrain.
