Have you tried a temp agency? You might be able to work a long-term temp chore which will lead to a full-time position near the company. Sign up with multiple agencies.
HERE IS AN ANSWER I JUST GAVE TO SOMEONE WHO ASKED A SIMILAR QUESTION. IT MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, BUT IT'S SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:
"I don't know if you do or do not hold a clean disciplinary dictation, but this answer is for anyone who wonders about reference. If it doesn't apply to you today...it may someday in the adjectives because it's a jungle out there:
Former employer can say anything they WANT to a golf buddy or colleague or nouns that they already knew at your contemporary company on the TELEPHONE or IN PERSON, and they ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do...
The laws are unenforceable unless the quotation is in WRITING. Most companies do the "formal reference check," PLUS the "unofficial" suggestion check. They call their acquaintances at your old-fashioned company.
Lawyers are the worst about this. This happen quite recurrently in the legally recognized field where on earth attorneys mix and mingle, both at the courthouse, other attorney's conference rooms for depositions with court reporters, respectively other's offices for meeting with both their clients, by conference name, at mediations, at arbitrations, and socially both casually and at professional social functions. Attorneys are social beside one another and then turn around and enjoy a battle near their opponent within court, then own a game of golf together and chuckle off the final outcome of the valise. Lawyers are well versed within employment law essentials regardless of what type(s) of law they one-sidedly practice and know all the ins and outs and ways to bend the imperative or avoid the law and detection of their against the law activities next to regard to giving reference or obtaining them on former workers. Attorney ex-employers are often vindictive, excessive, arrogant, wrongheaded, and show a lack of interest contained by the truth, if not a strong keenness to deceive your adjectives employer out of spite (more than likely spite for something the former hand did that was righteous or didn't do that be unrighteous). One would think that those within the field of regulation would have more respect for honesty than other field, but they can be the very worst offender in today's decaying civilization because they use their legally recognized KNOW-HOW to get away beside breaking...the law. Instead of following the spirit of hand protection laws, they merely revise the laws within order to circumvent them near cunning. In fact, I dare right to be heard more lies, fabrications, butt-covering and vindictive evil behavior is going on today near regard to member of staff references than BEFORE law were enact supposedly protecting employees! The permissible field is thoroughly small (in more ways than one).
But it's true that ANY company can engage contained by illegal conversations ...that aren't within writing. Don't fool yourself - THEY ALWAYS DO IT.
For some unsuspecting hardworking nice folks out there, this might explain the mystery astern:
* mutiple good career interviews with no actual offer
* long job hunts
* discomfited and perplexing interviewers and interviews that don't seem truly geared toward giving you an opportunity for the work but may be more geared toward collecting information for their buddy (your ex-boss)
* a strange new movement to be put in for temp work i.e. undesireable or even totally unacceptable (such as anyone sent to impossible assignments for impossible bosses with impossible equipment and impossible working environments). Don't be fooled by the certainty that your hyper-happy temp agency agents smile to your face and pretend to be working for you when they are ONLY WORKING FOR THEIR CLIENTS, THE EMPLOYERS. Often these folks are also social near the employers they convey you to--how do you think they get the account? They network. They know which are the GOOD temp assignments and they KNOW which are the BAD temp assignments. They will send you to the crappy ones as a favor to their buddy, your ex-boss.
* a inclination for permanent placement headhunters to totally forget about you until (interestingly) 24 hours AFTER you finally accepted a errand offer (that you finally found on your own surrounded by the paper)
These are indicators that you are being blackballed, it's in recent times not in WRITING.
Hey folks, it's the Jerry Springer Show...aft the scenes contained by corporate America--again, especially law firms. The truth, honesty, valor, class, personality, humility, fairness: have long moved out the corporate scene. Nice folks that actually believe employer are following the law are other the last to find out."
Terminated for anyone unpunctually but never be written up could i still take laying-off?
been written up for calling out earlier but never for being in arrears and i came a hour slowly!!Answers: So.. you were written up for 'calling out' which I assumes routine you didn't show up for work at all. Now you come in unsettled and feel you've be wronged because they fired you.
Your were written up, not because you missed days or worked behind, but because of an ATTENDANCE issue. An employer expects a specific amount of hours at work by their employees. You former in that admiration and when you came contained by late after human being discliplined about ATTENDANCE, they fired you.
Can you seize unemployment? Probably not because the principle you fired was YOUR FAULT. You weren't let go, the company didn't go out of business, etc. You screwed up, you get fired.
Sorry.. no unemployment.
I suggest you find another brief and this time take it seriously.
Good luck!
I would apply anyways,,,if they contest comapnies uncommonly show up for the .trial or whatever they telephone call it.
