Got a trade daylight tomorrow?
ok,very jumpy as first time attending career sunshine.i have a grill about whether i should misuse my time standing in stripe to talk to those companies for which i own already submitted resume online for internship offers..or should i try spanking new companies. Also what should be a typical conversation be as i have hear that they talk with the sole purpose for about 4-5 min and alsoother would be standing down me?help appreciated..Answers: Alright, this is effortless. Yes. Talk to the companies that you've already given a resume to. Why? Because face-to-face contact is very prominent. You're developing a rapport with HR and if you're likable you'll probably take a call to come surrounded by for an interview.
I also suggest being dressed appropriately, implication in business dispassionate, possibly a business suit. Bring a few resumes, you won't be giving your resume to every company you met, trust me.
Also. This may sound strange, but progress about an hour after it starts (unless it's an hour long) because by that time a quantity of people will enjoy already left and you'll hold more time to talk beside the people you come together which is good for you!
A 4-5 minute conversation is a devout length as long as you make yourself stand out, contained by a good route. Longer is alright, as well. The length of the conversation matter less than the feature of it.
Be nice. Be honest. Be well dressed. Shower. Brush your down. Don't wear blue jeans!! (I've seen this, I swear.)
Try bright companies. The people at the work day are not the ones who do the hiring. Most are the public relations ancestors there to in recent times promote the company, hand out lame flyers and collect any resumes.
Better JOB- Salary vs. 100% Commision: whats the best passageway to progress?
I am 25, male, 2 children and a wife to be precise a full time student.we live in a college town, contained by the middle of missouri, and the nearest salary paying job are 50 miles away. since i am a recent graudate I can only carry entry level direction, IF they are even available. that pay would put me around 25K a year. Currently I put up for sale Insurance for a great compnay, 100% commisions, door-to-door sales. I work in the order of 10 hours per day, 6 days a week. no gauranteed income. but its local.

current situation is Were Starving. however finding a stipend job around here is subsequent to impossible. Door- to -door is a hard path to earn a living. but i know if i get immune to "no'' I wont enjoy a problem doing it. but GAWD, i want a salary opening.
any commments? (no right answer, looking for thoughts.)

you are self-employed immediately as

i am sure ur present situation unambiguously needs a salaried errand, even if u have to step far.
One of my friend travels 40+40 miles every day for his available job but i wont suggest u doing this.
Door-to-door is no way to angle a family. Been nearby, done that, ain't going back. :o)
I support moving closer to the "nearest salary paying job." Or, if it's possible, take public transportation (bus, train, etc) or find a carpooling buddy! You necessitate a reliable, steady flow of income. Door-to-door sales is NOT steady or reliable. One point I can advise, if you inevitability to stay with the door-to-door commission, is asking any customer who lets you into their home for recommendation. Be up-front: "I love to show this product but I don't love going door-to-door. So what I need you to do [strong words; communicates confidence] is speck down 5 names of those you know who would be willing to tolerate me stop by for half an hour." Call these culture - you may only attain two, but hey - and say "So and so told me that you're really nice and might be inclined to help me out. Can I drop by for a rushed 30 minutes on [day+time] or is [day+time] better [2 times does not allow them to say no - they 'have' to choose one option]?"
Good luck. :o)
What is the best process to resign?
I have be working at this job a year and a partially. I started out as a receptionist and was promoted to better-paying position inside a month. However, as time past I starting the taking on more and more responsibility in that position--to the point where I be doing more than my position actually is suppose to do. I've proven myself to be a dyed-in-the-wool employee. In the course of my employement within I have have a baby (c-section) and completed up having to pinch another medical leave for invasive surgery individual 3 weeks after returning from maternity exit. When I returned to work from my surgery, my workload has increased dramatically to the point it is difficult for me to hold it under control (I'm narrowly doing so now). My work performance was/is mortal affected because of this. Not single that, but the system that I use to do my work in is out-of-date and cannot really manipulate the capacity of what I do within my position.
At the end of December, I received a "review" but it be more
Answers: I would not turn in my resignation until I enjoy a job already creased up. However, since you stated that you will have the funds to support you and your children for some time, later I would go ahead and turn contained by my two week notice of resignation. Leave a apt impression when you confer on. Dont' burn any bridges because you will need them as a hint for you future job. Good luck to you!
