I didn't tell my old employer I found the new job when I left the company. Is there anyone else does the same?
Answers: That's up to you. There's a possibility they may find out, but there's no need for you to tell them anything.
This is an extremely irresponsible thing to do. You are evidently so afraid of confrontation that you did not have the maturity to do the right thing. From your standpoint, you just walked away without a thought to your integrity or responsibility. Think about how that day went for your former employer and co-workers. Think about how much you hate it when someone calls in sick and you have to do their work plus your own.
The proper way to resign is to write a letter giving two weeks notice. It is very easy.
Dear Mr. Jones,
This is to inform you that I am resigning my position effective Friday, April 10th. Thank you for the opportunity to work at XYZ. I learned a lot.
Sincerely,
GROW UP!

General Business degree, what job will i get for that?
Answers: It's a good entrepreneur degree. the problem with the degree is that it's so broad and a lot of people get them. Might want to consider finding a concentration or getting an MBA.
Jobs you can get with it: Management positions in general. You'll probably need some sort of experience in the field you decide to go into though.
You can work in:
Management
Sales
Marketing
Insurance: Sales, Claims, and Underwriting
Banking
Human Resources
