Employees/former human resources - who is best to work for - HBOS or Abbey National?
I have be successful in interviews only just with both the HBOS group and Abbey National. Both of them enjoy advantages and disadvantages i.e. location etc.I have passed the interview stages of HBOS, but they hold still to do vetting & credit checks - is this just to confirm that I've not be in jail/convicted of fraud/been contained by a mass of debt? If so, then I should elapse these as well.
Abbey National will also enjoy these checks to carry out though. Has anyone ever worked next to both/either of these companies? I don't know which one to take lol.
Answers: My friend worked for Abbey and have a terrible experience, BUT to be balanced to them, this was around indistinguishable time that Santander were taking them over, so I deliberate that that could have accounted for plentifully of the problems. Few companies manage to brand name such a transition comfortable for all their human resources.
I think what you utter about the two different sizes of the branches should influence your declaration. I think beside a smaller branch, there will most imagined become more opportunity to become involved in different areas. A larger branch might have it in mind that you're stuck as a teller for a long time, in need prospects to move around. Similarly, with a smaller branch it's plausible that you would have more personal customers - are you outstandingly interested in getting involved within mortgages and so on? A larger branch would have more business customers. Also, which do you prefer on a personal even - working in a small troop, which can often be more relaxed, or working contained by a large squad which will be more structured but there are more colleagues to hold fun with?
Also, if you want to verbs, bear contained by mind that HBOS is a British company so future opportunity will be British-based. Abbey is part of Santander which is a multinational organisation, so near will be overseas opportunities. Does this issue? If you have a relatives, you might not want to relocate anyway. If you don't speak any languages bar English, you might not be able to relocate. And, is it potential that you would stay with any employer more than four years or so anyway?
I imagine it's fine for you to ask people for their warning on each of the companies, but I ruminate one thing that you should accept in mind is that what will situation more than the company itself, is the people that you work next to on a daily foundation. For each work, have you have an opportunity to meet any of your colleagues? What be your impressions? Were they similar in age/background/etc to you?
I wouldn't recommend Abbey National, tried and inferior with them and i am glad.

What are the best opportunity websites to post a resume (for free)?
I want to post my resume online, but am not sure which career sites are the best for this. Suggestions? I'd appreciate info from anyone who's have good experiences near a particular site.Answers: I did profusely of job searcing online lately. I wouldn't reccomend posting your resume online because you are putting a lot of personal information out in attendance for people to see.
Rather, look at the career boards and submit your resume to the jobs you are interested within.
I used the following job boards: Careerbuilder, Monster, Yahoo Hot job, (some of my local newspaper's sites), and Craigslist.
Believe it or not, I got the best response from ad on Craigslist. The other websites had essentially temp agency jobs.
Hope this help.
The biggest is monster.com, but you can also check out Dice.com, Hotjobs.com and CareerBuilder.com.
There are also local, state run sites you can investigate.
I am a career coach who writes a day after day 100% free career blog at www.directyourcareer.com or you can email me at mike(a)directyourcareer.com
Hope that help!!
