My company just this minute hired a strange hand that I am training and he make more money than me. Should I be barmy?

They just hired this guy that does matching thing I do because we be short handed. He is brand exotic and doesn't have a clue in the order of the job nonetheless he makes almost 8k more per year than I do.

Im pretty upset almost this. I really feel resembling Im getting screwed over here.


Answers: First, yes you have a right to be upset, but ill-fatedly its one of those situations that someone else controls.
I wouldn't suggest going to your supervisor and making a scene about this because this is information that you shouldn' know. You can however ask your boss when you will be up for a review and increase. I desire you the best of luck with this...I know how frustrating it is.
You're right to be upset. When employer get surrounded by a staffing pinch they tend to pay more lately to fill the position. This is a great bearing to attract new talent and a great means of access to alienate experienced workers. As my dad used to say, "Dance next to the one who brung ya."

How often are you given take-home pay increases? If you have an evaluation coming up transport this time to become a stellar employee. That bearing you can justify a request for a angle.
Discussion of salary is a "no-no" and if you bring it up you run the risk of man told, quite bluntly, that what they are paying him is none of your f%&^#&g business.

i relate. it's strange when a company brings alien ppl, they have to 'match' the earnings to the title (up to date), yet i single get 10 cents put on a pedestal from the old recompense rate i started.
that's why i tried out for promotion which didn't happen, so i not here the company for good. conceivably you can quit and a while later could return next to 'current' rate they try matching haha
at tiniest, i'd bring it up to hr yet hr would ask 'who told you how did you find out the rate?' and probably won't want you anymore.

There are copious of factors surrounded by how a person can come within making more then you. Degree's and who you know.
My sympathy, this is a tough one.
Do not pocket it out on the new guy and don't be in motion to the boss and tell him/her what you know. Train him capably, do not let it be said you didn't make clear to him or show him anything.
You got some great direction on why the new guy get more money but add to that he is a guy.
Casually ask when you are due for an evaluation. In your evaluation wrangle hard but remember to NOT bring surrounded by your knowledge give or take a few others paychecks.

Why do some folks within a work environment use a middle individual to relay their issues near coworkers?

Instead of speaking to that person directly?

Example: All conference room scheduling is done by the Executive Assistant at my brief. If there is a problem next to scheduling my coworkers will call me to enjoy me relate their issues to the Executive Assistant instead of calling him directly and he will in return do like thing to hold me relate his response to them...

Exe Assistant: "Haven't groups met in the spiritually room past? I got a call for that a group I scheduled today couldn't assemble in in attendance?"

Me: "Yes, we had a group draw together in in attendance. But I don't know you have to speak beside the Resource Center Director"

Exe Assistant: "Well the group I scheduled will be here shortly, can you check and distribute me a call subsidise."

Me: "Sure"

RC Director: "Yes a group met before but NO that room is unacceptable for scheduling purposes" "They can meet today but NO MORE"

Me to the Exe. Assistant: "She said they can group today but NO MORE!"

Exe Assistant: "This is going to STAFF!"


Answers: I think its one of two things, any they don't want to confront the person responsible because they are mortified with it, OR they find you easier to concordat with and have a feeling like you will return with a better response then they would. If you do not want it to verbs, send them directly to the individual responsible and tell them you are incompetent to do so and that they need to touch it themselves, as this is not your area of responsibility.
It depends on what position you enjoy, if you are the admin for the area consequently you have the responsibility of the scheduling and they expect you to resolve these conflicts. OR the individuals have have a bad run contained by with the soul before and don't want to obverse them cause of this, this personage may have an attitude that they didn't do anything wrong and never do. You must own the personality to be capable of resolve conflicts without upsetting population, this is a very fitting trait.
