Resume give support to...does anyone know?

I need to produce and knock out resume for an interview next to my dream job. Are in that any excellent sites for this, or would you pay someone who does this professionally? I'm contained by Columbus, Ohio and the average going rate for a professional resume writer is 185.00-250.00 dollars. Is this a rip off? My interview is subsequent month on the 29th. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Answers: I would pay $200.00 for a exotic knock out business suit...why not $200 for a knock ou resume'
I found a pretty good template on Monster.com

In reality, I've gotten several interesting phone calls up to that time from folks who discovered that same resume on Monster. Give it a look. Good Luck
Here is a website with lots of free information and tutorials on creating a resume that in fact does what it is supposed to do - get you a livelihood interview.

Do not worry too much something like the costs; would you rather payment $150 for a resume that gets thrown away because it does not provide you effectively or $300 for a resume that gets you an interview inside 48 hours? Each week that passes by that you DON'T enjoy a job costs you hundreds of dollars contained by lost opportunity costs.

The goal is to take the job done quickly- not free money.

Whoever can get the available job done is who should write it. It may be you and you can save the money...

There is also a free resume token on the site:

I realize you already have an interview set up, but the philosophy is still matching; everything you give them or read out to them reflects on you. It must adjectives be first class (not boiler plate) - that's te kind of member of staff you are, right?

Cheers

How do you stop yourself from bursting out laughing, when taking a call from a complete Numpty?

Answers: No idea. Probably the same way that I manage to keep a straight face when answering a question from one. :o)
be a professional!

Just hold it in until they are gone, and then go mock the person mercilessly with your coworkers.

The last time my office hired someone a person turned in a resume.. instead of job skills they listed issues.
They mentioned that they have asperger's, and borderline personality disorder, and that they lost the last two jobs for fighting.

Not to mention that the person hand wrote their resume.

I nearly cracked when the lady called.
Fortunately I don't have to deal with calls like that, but on a related topic ...

My sister used to work in the call centre of a large newspaper. One day the phone rang, and she was in the middle of having a laugh with her colleagues, and was still laughing when she picked up the phone and answered it.

The woman on the phone literally *screamed* at her, "yes that's right, you have a good laugh, now I need to place a bereavement notice ..."

Whoa. Now clearly, this woman had just lost a family member and was understandably very upset. But did she honestly think that my sister was laughing at her, when she hadn't even spoken yet?

Best path to become a financial advisor?

hey i was a short time ago wondering what the best way be, do you think going through a firm or a short course at a college or uni, or is nearby any other good ways that yoiu know of. im from newcastle england. thx

Answers: I obtain by degree after I got my credentials. Below is some information that I pasted from a website which I thought would be compliant:

A degree within statistics, economics, finance, maths, law or business would be appropriate. Try to include courses surrounded by investments, taxes, estate planning and risk management while you study toward your amount. If you have the time and financial resources, immerse yourself in study as a full time student can be a tremendously valuable experience. For those near time or financial constraints, explore the options of unpaid study on campus or online.

In addition to a level, certification is a strong credential to enhance the reputation of a financial advisor. Personal financial advisors may want to gain the Certified Financial Planer credential, (CFP). This certification is issued by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and requires the applicant to enjoy completed certain edifying requirements. In addition, the applicant must overrun a comprehensive exam which assures that he/she has excellent awareness of the financial planning process, employee benefits planning, investment and estate planning, taxes and retirement planning, and insurance and risk planning. Candidates are also required to own a working knowledge of debt supervision, statistical modeling, emergency fund reserves, and emergency fund reserves. You should plan on spending two to three years of study to complete these programs.
Work in a dune and gain the experience. Best education would be to pick up at least a 4 year scope.
