I hold a assignment interview tomorrow?

I have a brief interview scheduled tomorrow at 1:30 but I've approved that I probably don't want that job. For one it will nick me an hour to get to work if I do get hold of the job. I reflect on I want to find something on my side of town. Anyway is it too late to go against this interview? What should I do??

Answers: Don't cancel it.Take the interview for practice if zilch else. It takes profoundly of tries to develop good interview skills.
U should run anyway, u might change ur Mind, if its not for u next dont accept. If u know for sure , later jus dont show up !
not showing up isnt very professional, but they will receive over it!!
It's never too late to undo - your time is valuable!

And from their point of scenery, if you're not going to take the commission anyway there's no reason to turn to the effort of interviewing you.

Just be straight up and relate them it's not for you and you don't want to waste their time - they should appreciate it.

EDIT: Seriously, don't a moment ago not turn up or make excuses... that's *really* annoying. And individual able to call for people and articulate "no" to them straight up is a really good skill to practice.
Heck if it be me i would just count the hour into my wages. If 15 dollars is a hour for something hour closer be ok i would ask for 18.

Is near a specific process to becoming a waiter/waitress?

Yeah, so I'm a poor college student living in NYC, and I'm interested within a part-time assignment as a waitress. Does anyone here have any experience contained by waiting tables?

How do I start if I hold no experience whatsoever? Thanks!

Answers: Never been a waitress surrounded by a big city, I tried in Seattle once and the solely thing I could draw from was a dishwashing mission that I was slowly working my up the stepladder to server status. Otherwise in Maine it's relatively glib to get a work. I've learned to lately smile, compliment your customers, and listen to them. You have to know how to organize things contained by your head, to efficiently decide what is the best lay down of things to do, but you'll quickly cram that and it somewhat differs with every place you work. Be attentive, but not overbearing or you'll verbs your customer. Chat, but not too much or you'll fall down on everything else you need to be doing and annoy your other table that just want some more coffee! or bread! or a chalice of wine!
That said, you might have to start contained by a coffee shop or washing dishes (which really isn't as desperate as it sounds. You're in your own little world and most of the put money on of house staff I've worked with are moderately interesting characters! It's a pretty social job), or being a busboy for a while until something front of house open up and then snatch it. Then you'll enjoy a better idea of how things work contained by a restaurant anyway
There are a lot of lower lapse restaurants that will hire people minus experience. You'll probably get trained on the brief.

Just go surrounded by and ask if they're hiring and if they are, ask them what you need to do to be considered.
Im a cocktail waitress, and its plentifully tougher than being a typical waitress.

you obligation to start somewhere small so you dont become overwhelmed. like start a some small moms n pops place and once you discern like you twig the concept, work your way up.

close to i made the mistake of started at a big upscale resturant, and i was WAY over my director, so I had to turn back to a small place to capture my experience.

once you get experience, i would recommend cocktailing, you get a lot more money than a regular waitress
if you own the attitude and personality abundantly of resturants will like hiring race without expiriance. Its easier to train after break old habbits
