How do I reject this brief hold out? I can't afford to work near...?
It all comes down to the money spent on commuting to this place... I would generate less than partially the monthly stipend after gas and taxes. How do I politely call wager on and reject the offer when it is due to these reason? I thought they would make an exception since I'm not living at hand, whereas I guess most people live within. But I'm married and am settled down etc. but they don't have the funds to earnings me more than they pay them. Really sucks, I know. It would be almost an 80 minute (roundtrip) commute 5 days a week. Sporadic hours. Just can't do it from this distance for so little money :(Answers: That was exactly the drive I quit my job once. Only I be that silly to start it without considering how much time/money/effort I would be spending everyday to return with there and subsidise (52 miles and over two hours both ways). And no compensation, either. I only told my manager that I really, really appreciate my position and will be bright and breezy to train anybody to step in my place, but I cannot tolerate the traffic and long distance/gas cost to get to work anymore. They enjoy been most friendly and comprehension (though no bigger money suggestion) and we still are in contact. Don't do it even for bigger retribution, because after a while your salary will suggest less to you than time dried up in commuting and thickset traffic, believe me. Because you deserve better. Good luck!
Just tell them that you've thinly considered the offer and thank them for extending it, but at this time you can't adopt the position.
That's it, you don't have to explain to them why.
Tell them why you can't accept the position. If they can't appear to understand your reasoning, you probably don't want to work next to them anyway.
If you're up front, they may decide that you are worth the extra compensation, instead of continuing a runner search.
I own been within the situation before, jsut cal lthem up and make clear to them the truth, that you sat down and looked at your finances and next to gas prices and things being the route you cannont feasible afford to work for tehm, that you would close to to be able to and if you two can come to anytype of solution afterwards you would be more then bright and breezy to work for them, but you can't "pay" to work or work for "free" and they should understand.

I live in the angel in islington and i would like a saturday job were can i go to get one .xx?
Answers: There are loads of places - I know there's a big cinema there, and a couple of supermarkets, plus all the high street retailers. There are multiple cafes and restaurants, or you could try bars if you are old enough. You could also try something a bit different like working in the library.
If I were you I would walk around with a stack of CVs and go into anywhere that you might be interested in working. If they have vacancies advertised in the window, ask to speak to the manager. If there are no vacancies advertised, just ask anyone working there how you would go about applying. Some places may have an application form for you to fill out, or other places may ask that you leave your CV.
