Why are nurses treated so scantily by their doctors?
Recently, i went next to my mother to her doctors appointment for her monthly check up. While the doctor was assisting my mother i notice he was highly rude to the nurse who was assisting him.How recurrently are doctors cruel to their nurses? and why are they that way? I am currently surrounded by a Nursing Program to receive my Associate degree. Any more incite on the doctor and nurse relationship would be much appreciated. thanx youAnswers: I'm a nurse, and okay while some doctors really treat nurses poorly, others don't. I don't know why but it does seem that some doctors may be aware of "above" a nurse. I was told stories that nurses have to stand up from their desks or chairs when a doctor was present from some of the long time nurses be I work. It's not too common surrounded by the hospital setting. Everyone needs to remember that the nurse is within with the lenient more than the doctor in most cases and they (the nurse) are their eyes and ears when they are not near. It needs to be a right relationship in command to meet the patients requests. I would personally relate your mom's doctor that you felt he be being rude. Maybe he didn't realize. Or perchance he did and no one has ever stood up to him. I hold "written" up attending doctors for what I felt be inappropriate behavior beside positive results. The doctor didn't realize he was person a jerk and in truth thanked me for letting him know. Please don't agree to that experience deter you from becoming a nurse. Everyone's job is momentous no matter how small they deem it might be. It's OK to tell someone (anyone) that they are individual rude, nasty, unkind, or doesn`t matter what as long as it is done in a professional carriage with out giving an attitude put a bet on.. Best of luck in your studies. PS don't thieve a rude doc to heart. Though it's not an excuse, there are beneath alot of stress too.

You stipulation to remember something.doctors put their pants on one and the same way everybody else does...sometimes they reflect on they are special people...when surrounded by fact...they are human too of late like the rest of us...
As far as the doc treating his nurses rudely.that's their condemn...I for one...do NOT allow anyone I work with to make conversation to me like I am refuse...I've been a nurse for almost 30 years...and I hold had some relatives...not just doctors, speech badly to me...that be the last time they did it too. I don't stand for that crap...and I speak up for myself...doctor or not...
If race do this to other people and they grasp away with it on a continuous spring...then they will do it again and again...but if you nip it surrounded by the bud the first time it happens...later it is less feasible to happen again...at hand is NO excuse for bad manners, and those of us that own extensive educations under our belts ought to be ashamed of ourselves if we enjoy no social skills...

That's a moment ago a quirk in the man's behaviour...it's NOT just because he's a doctor. I've be in the medical corral for 23 years and I've had impressively few experiences with disrespectful physicians. I've met a LOT of physicians who be jerks as PEOPLE though.
As a rule, doctors are VERY appreciative and respectful of the nurses who work with/for them. They're close to anyone else though...you have to edify them how to treat you.
That is so unfortunate that you have to witness that. Are you sure that was a nurse or a medical assistant? The right news is that not ALL doctors treat nurses and other medical staff resembling that. I think, approaching all other types of job, you will find those minute few who take their "titles" to their head. I don't think these rude doctors are doing it one-sidedly. I think these doctors hold other "issues" outside of the office and they are a short time ago taking out their frustrations/anger out on their staff which is wrong.
PLEASE PLEASE do not let that one inopportune scenario discourage you from pursuing your career.

bcoz society have treated them like god for too long and nurses like their appendage maidens...look at a nurse tell pple she is one pple tend to travel nice but say you are a doctor and adjectives are impressed...
