Would accepting a temp non-legal position hurt my probability contained by finding fulltime official employment?
I am a recent Law School graduate and member of the state slab where I would similar to to practice.However after months of interviewing I have on the other hand to land a permenant position next to a legal department .
I have be offered a temporary non-legal position out of state but I am worried that accepting that position would bestow legal employer in my state the wrong hollow.
Answers: This depends... if you need the income lug the position. However, if by some grace you are ok financially I would suggest that you offer your services pro bono for a non-profit. By doing this you earn relevant lawful experience, while simultaneously helping your community. Both of which will play favorably towards you securing a position in the lawful profession.
If you decide to thieve the position, continue to apply for positions within the legal grazing land. If asked (which I doubt - because people twig the concept of living) why you took the position be honest. I found myself in a similar situation and I land on my feet.
