Dental Hygienist?
I am going to school to become a dental hygienist, in a minute my question is - the college I plan on attending is a technical certified dental university, so lets read out I apply for a job at an department and it's between myself an another candidate who attended a 4 year university, would that challenger get chosen over me because they go to a university while I Just went to a systematic school whos foremost focus was dental.Answers: Most of the school out there that proposition a Dental Hygienists program are on the Associates Degree level. Typically this indicates a 2-year program. Very not often would you see a Dentist require a Bachelor's degree within this area- unless they are looking for someone who could fill surrounded by a more than just a hygienist; possibly a business/office executive.
In any case- Hygienists are in constraint and the education that they receive is intense. If you exceed through the program- the Dentists know you can maneuver in an organization setting. This is provided that you are going to an accredited arts school and you will be ready for your states license when you are finished. This would probably be a good function as to why there are so few school offering the program and the acceptance into a program is so competitive.
You see one and the same type of thing near nursing- there is not much of a difference within pay or brief offers between an RN and a BSN. The difference come contained by when you get the Masters. The bachelor's looks virtuous on paper, but within this career setting your associates will provide you beside a good position.
If you prefer at a later date to jump back for secondary education contained by this area- you will have work experience to boot. Check into your local serious newspaper; most offices want experienced personnel- mot abundant mention a requirement of a bachelors in Dental Hygiene.
Good Luck.
Maybe so..There is alot of competition over dental hygiene job..it'll be hard to find a chore without some sort of competition..
Good luck though! :)!
Probably not. By it's character, a two-year degree contained by dental hygiene is a very hands-on scope. Because of that, most four-year colleges do not offer a four-year amount in that pasture. Therefore, if you're up against someone with a four-year scope, it probably is not in a related grazing land. The only exception I could see is if someone first get a two-year degree within dental hygiene and then continued their nurture to get the four-year level. Hope this helps!

Why would you want to get into pharmaceutical sale? What motivated you into it? Who/what influenced you? What do you know about the industry, the companies, the products? What do you know almost the job? What own you done so far to prepare yourself for a career surrounded by pharmaceutical sales? Ask yourself these question now because if you are interviewed, the hiring leader is going to ask you these same questions. In getting to know you, your work experience and your skills, they approaching to ask questions that require answers given within the STAR format (what was the Situation or Task, what Action did you cart to solve it, and what was/were the Result(s)).
Below are the basic certificate pharma companies look for in a nominee:
1. A 4-year bachelors degree next to excellent grades (in any field, although science may help)
2. At lowest possible 2 years of successful, documented, business-to-business sales experience
3. A angelic driving record
4. A fitting credit background
5. Passion and identity
I recommend that you check out opportunities next to contract companies like PDI, Ventiv and Innovex. These companies contract next to big pharma companies by providing supplemental sales force. This would be a biddable and "easier" way to take your foot in the door fairly than trying it out directly with big pharma companies.
Yes, I recommend this profession to anyone near the above qualifications and not afraid to work tricky and long hours to reap the many rewards provided by this profession.
Good luck!
How going on for some facts before you plunge too cavernous:
* 2 Trillion dollars is spent on health caution in the US, which represents one-sixth of the US discount - most has exceptionally little to be done w/ health.
* "Health" is defined within the dictionary as "being nouns in body, mind or spirit," but what we send for "health care" have a very different focus, and would be more appropriately be call, the "Sickness Industry."
* Sickness Industry - is defined as products and services provided re-actively to people after they contract an weakness; ranging from a adjectives cold, to cancerous tumors. These products and services seek to any treat the symptoms of a disease or eliminate the disease.
* Wellness Industry is defined as; Products and services provided pro-actively to in shape people - explicitly, those without an existing disease to generate them feel better and in good health, to slow the effects of aging, or to prevent diseases from developing in the first place.
Today, ethnic group are spending 400 billion annually for vitamins and food supplements, and by the year 2010, the wellness industry is projected be the next trillion dollar industry.
So who are these ancestors? Mostly baby boomers from the ages of 40 to 60. These those represent 28% of our population - yet their spending represents 50% of our discount.
So, seems to me that you should consider the wellness industry instead of pharmaceutical.
Just my assessment.
